That's too much fun for a DARK AND BROODING superman (why did they think this would work?? he is not Batman. Fuckin Nolan)

It would've been way better if the film was more fun.
ngl i was like ''yo how many people are gonna die in this'' when the movie began
I wish they'd do a film/cartoon version of Superman's Red Son, that could be fucking incredible.
If you don't know what Red Son is... imagine if superman landed in russia instead of America, and also batman appear at one point in a fantastic hat

Best part in Man of Steel was when he told everyone to get inside then destroyed half the town anyway.
Yeah, pretty sure [sp]that crashing plane[/sp] would've killed quite a few folks anyway. Unless the buildings were somehow explosion proof.

All of Smallville and literally like half of Metropolis die and Superman doesn't save a single person
Goddammit supes.

like the deathcount is at the very least in hundreds of thousands.
And amazingly it's technically his fault.

Hey guys i'm going to [sp]open up a blackhole IN THE MIDDLE OF A HUGE FUCKING CITY.[/sp]
Nolan's writing, goddamn.
So speaking of how trashy superhero films are, how good does The Wolverine look?? Tiers above all else I reckon. Tbh I was legitimately disappointed when I saw some people have powers in the new theatrical (saw it when I saw The East- which kinda sucked) but it still looks awesome. It's gonna be a 15 too which is cool, and it's directed by James Mangold and written by that guy who wrote The Usual Suspects. It just makes me happy they've got two legitimately good filmmakers to create what could well be one of the best superhero films if it's done right. Basically every Avengers universe film is written and directed by shoddy up-and-comings who are honestly just not that good. The X-men franchise has been pretty solid aside Origins but this'll own hard I can tell.
And the films that are the major influences include Black Narcissus, Chinatown and the Samurai Trilogy
SO CAUTIOUSLY HYPE
who actually watches films anyways its all about anime
I want to see a superhero movie where the hero actually fucks up and loses at the end. Endings are becoming too predictable.
Watch Super it's good and so fuckin dark
i dont want to see a superhero movie
YOU DONT BUTT IN LINE

Hancock kinda starts like that. Apart from the BS ending it was actually pretty good.

Awesome, it's always good to know your past favourites are still kickin' it good.
Man Hancock owned up until the twist. The twist was AWFUL and I was so angry cos it could have gone down as one of the great superhero films imo. The first half's really good then it just goes to shit.

Been arachnophobic since I was about three, but I still found Spiderman to be one of the coolest superheroes.
