[QUOTE=Take_Opal;41515564]For 24 hours, Planning for Burial is making all of his music free on Bandcamp. Everything he has put out is great. It's sad music, so don't listen if you're not into that kind of thing.

I thought you ment Burial, that was disappointing.
Haha I sound like a giant douche :v:
TBH Selena's stuff while very pop is pretty solid.
I saw her performing on like This Morning or the Today show or something (one of those old people morning shows-- i was at my grandparents house) about a week ago and i was very impressed by how un-shitty she was
This probably isn't the best place to post stuff like this, but I couldn't find a thread to request music or anything similar.
I need some new music; I've kinda gone off my current playlist and it's getting pretty boring now. I like bands like The Hives/You Me at Six/Bastille/Imagine Dragons/Daft Punk - I used to listen to a lot of dubstep but i've gone off that too since most of the stuff I listened to was pretty depressing.
I like high-tempo stuff ("Icona Pop - I love it" being a good a good example of the kind of stuff I like) and songs which have more of a dancy/pop vibe as opposed to depressing shit.
Any suggestions for bands? (Sorry if this is a little vague, or in the wrong topic)

Depressive dubstep?
I gotta hear some of that
the depressing thing about dubstep is that people listen to it

Our opinions on what's depressing and what's not might differ a bit, but I find this stuff pretty depressing.

try some rusko or something I guess. it's all shit but rusko type dubstep is a little more aggressive
[QUOTE=Vedicardi;41534699]they just dont care anymore[/QUOTE]
they never cared, pitchfork was always p stupid
they were okay in 2004 looking back at some of their rankings and such but now its like they a promoting a sort of "its cool to like justin timberlake IRONICALLY lol! lets listen to literally anything a major puts out and love it!" mentality like that pop music is some godsend
[editline]20th July 2013[/editline]
you could see a trend going towards that as early as 2008
[editline]20th July 2013[/editline]
i mean honestly if you take lana del ray seriously in any regard what so ever you're a fucking joke. that's a line crossed
what's more of a shame is that their consistent dickriding of tyler the creator is unironic
everything they do is just outright embarrassing

Hmm, I don't find any of this depressing but thanks it was uplifting.
I watched Dancer In The Dark about an hour ago that was depressing
I was really impressed by Bjork's performance tbh. Very raw. Yet to be disappointed by a Lars von Trier film as well.
b-but I listen to Justin Timberlake un-ironically
sorry for your loss
