Letherette is a fantastic freshman album. It's like a neat mixture of IDM and hip-hop beats.

ok so I'm back, and I was thinking about how much I love this thread and all of you, and wondering why people say "stay posi" and "stay based" but don't feel it in their heart... Its alright to not like lil b's music and even not like his message, thats your opinion, and i respect that. I love lil b and lil b music, and we can coexist, and post together, and thats a wonderful thing. feel how you want to feel, think for yourself, i love it.
lil bitch
I stay posi only when its convenient.
posi is situational [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] in fact that's the first time I've used that word
i'm staying positive and basing all day every day

[QUOTE=Franke_R!?;41564067]I like Loiter Squad though. [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] anime [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] I like you vedi but sometimes you get too real on an internet forum.[/QUOTE] music media/promotion is almost 90% internet driven these days. It only needs a very small basis in reality to manifest. I'm "real" about this in real life as well, these are just opinions I have. I don't understand what you mean. [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] [QUOTE=killerteacup;41564289]Hype isn't about generating listens at all. That's not what marketing aims for, hype is about generating cultural relevancy and keeping something in the public sphere so long that people start saying "well I need to form an opinion of this so I'd better listen" and the more contentious the point is, the more people want to form an opinion on it I mean like uniform dislike is horrible but so is uniformly loving something - if everyone just loves it, it becomes fact and its no longer interesting or good therefore vedi I agree with your ideal, but every time someone mentions death grips or grimes for example and you say "grimes is so bad lol im so quirky how terrible" or "death grips is bad because everyone just cares about the image and mc ride and it shows a lack of integrity" then I think you are also feeding the hype machine because you're continuing and sustaining its relevancy on this forum almost as much as the people who like it are. In fact every time the topic comes up I feel like it just feeds the relevancy of pitchfork bands I can't think how much more damaging it would be if someone were to come in and say "hey guys, I just saw death grips and it was cool" and literally noone reacted or replied [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] its like people who refuse to watch big brother but still take every opportunity to rag on it, they do more damage than the people who watch it do[/QUOTE] you're wrong. while cultural relevancy may be important, the fact is you cannot directly monetize it. people need to CONSUME to that end. While I must concede that some of my posts where I just sort of stupidly shit on a band are partially problematic (it's just me venting), I don't think in depth discussions like this are at all. I don't even listen to these bands, not once have I heard a full odd future song, that would be becoming a part of the hype, that would be acknowledging it. I'm abstaining, so to speak. this is the point of the westburou baptist metaphor I used above, as well. After a certain point, you are the problem itself (like, there is really no one who thinks big brother is a "good show"). With artists like OF and Death Grips, like I said above, they are no where near that point, with the opinion at large being that these are quality, unique artists (they aren't). [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] [QUOTE=erfinjerfin;41564992]Vedi, what do you think about Throbbing Gristle?[/QUOTE] still need to listen to them. no reason why I haven't yet.
I wanna do so many things at once, I wanna smoke, I wanna watch movie, I wanna write and I wanna clean my room. Why do I never feel like this before midnight? Thinking of pulling an all-nighter. [editline]24th July 2013[/editline] I need songs, any artist, any genre, any time - just songs I can listen to on youtube.
