Not yet. Wait for the album.
no we can because we should have agreed this a long while ago
can we all agree daft punk suck now
I hate that they're still viewed as "Innovators" but they're certainly not bad.
Only I am real.
Not yet. Wait for the album.
Around ten tracks of Daft Punk trying to imitate Funk with collaborators, every song will be bland and boring. It will be Discovery 2.0. [editline]13th May 2013[/editline] fucking called it, RAM is Discovery 2.0 with more drums and collabs
I'd never listened to Daft Punk before and when I heard their latest album I thought it was a bit... boring.. [editline]13th May 2013[/editline] That's my coin on it
Everybody but the Daft Punk thread agrees that RAM is dull.
I agreed simply because it had a load of collaborators, like Plastic Beach.
Real artists roll solo.
Everybody but the Daft Punk thread agrees that RAM is dull.
before the leak I was wholeheartedly convinced it would be a 1 star tier album but now I'm thinking 2 or 3 [editline]13th May 2013[/editline] sickeningly good, kind of like a darker version of Amon Tobin's Izam.

my review of the dark punk recorrrd
i just wonder how and why did daft punk become such a huge thing when pretty much all of their albums are boring as shit (except for homework. and alive 2007. but live albums don't count as albums ok)
i just wonder how and why did daft punk become such a huge thing when pretty much all of their albums are boring as shit (except for homework. and alive 2007. but live albums don't count as albums ok)
Homework was their first big album, and you just said it was somewhat good. There's your answer I guess Plus their whole robot image contributes to their fame somewhat
I really wish Daft Punk would just stop existing I hate having an album release and everyone call it a classic and an innovative masterpiece when its literally just a bunch of funk tunes which aren't all that great
Really you could question why a lot of more popular artists have garnered so much fame, but it's pointless
Justice's first album is better than anything by Daft Punk.
yeah i'm listening to RAM now and I mean, it's ok it's something i'd put on as background music while doing something else, not something I'd buy the vinyl of (buying vinyls of digitally produced electronic music? uh) and listen to over and over
I really wish Daft Punk would just stop existing I hate having an album release and everyone call it a classic and an innovative masterpiece when its literally just a bunch of funk tunes which aren't all that great
it's literally music made in mind of people who take ecstasy and dance to it which I myself do, if you're making music with that in mind you shouldn't get the amount of praise they do
I don't know if that's what they make music for...
Any of you guys going to Sweden Rock this year?
i just wonder how and why did daft punk become such a huge thing when pretty much all of their albums are boring as shit (except for homework. and alive 2007. but live albums don't count as albums ok)
their singles and marketing, obviously, like any other fucking band. duh.
yeah i'm listening to RAM now and I mean, it's ok it's something i'd put on as background music while doing something else, not something I'd buy the vinyl of (buying vinyls of digitally produced electronic music? uh) and listen to over and over
i dont understand why this is an "uh" [editline]14th May 2013[/editline] very upset that dp put panda bear on the simplistic 808 tribute track omg
its dumb
but wasn't a big thing about this record was that they recorded it with a shit ton of analogue gear? that was like half of what one of those collaborators videos was about.
Any of you guys going to Sweden Rock this year?
Considering it.
Any of you guys going to Sweden Rock this year?
Is there a line-up yet ?
pls respond
but wasn't a big thing about this record was that they recorded it with a shit ton of analogue gear? that was like half of what one of those collaborators videos was about.
Didn't you know that having any digital in your recording invalidates anything analogue?
it's perfect
lol that fuckin game
