Anyone know of any really kind of trippy, weird, psychedelic, ambient, instrumental music, etc, etc?
Maybe something on par with the kind of 'mechanical, angular' sound of Welcome to The Machine by Pink Floyd,

Or with the weirdness of this,

mohawk town vs butt town who wins?
dick ville
mohawk town might probably be a better place to live but butt town is a better song
better name too

mohawk town is boss but like all vandals songs it only sounds good live and the studio version blows chunks
basically every proper punk band sucks ass in the studio

I would disagree with that, Agent Orange, JFA, Jerry's Kids, and the Descendents have some pretty decent recordings; even if you just stick to their 80's stuff.
well yeah there's always going to be exceptions but for the most part that is the case. I'm sure there's a reason for it somewhere, maybe it's got something to do with punk bands not usually making a lot of money
I think a lot of it has to do with the D.I.Y. ethic. Which is cool, but a lot of bands were just getting equipment and making the best tapes they could; didn't really have a lot of recording training a lot of it was guess work.
bands usually sound better the hungrier they are and they prob eat before they go into the studio so the music sounds all gassy and bloated thats just me tho
that's actually kinda plausible
its just hit or miss. some bands got lucky, some bands did the best they could, some bands didnt care
Anyone know of any ambient, natural sounding music? Electronic sound is good, but I'm looking for a less "artificial" feel I guess.
i have no idea what natural sounding is supposed to imply, natural sounding samples or just a natural tone over all?
I assume he means natural as in organic. Look into field recordings.
i was thinking actual ambience too, but i read it as a more ambient or down-tempo tone to more structured music

For the most part, a natural tone over all. I don't really want a song with a beat, just more of a long melody. Sorry about the very vague question.

Yup I'm familiar with Eno, he's probably my favorite ambient artist.
