not hard to be successful when you do everything in your power to be as similar as possible to something that is already accepted as good and familiar.
mimicking the beatles is as safe as you can play it
Well it takes more than being into The Beatles to enjoy Tame Impala but yeah they're pretty damn similar
the beatles sucks and tame impala sucks
It weirds me out how much the singer sounds like John Lennon
it's mostly the vocal effect... liam gallagher was the first to really mimic the accent.
clerks is like one of my top 5 movies srsly
clerks is amazing but Chasing Amy is Kevin Smith's best
not as funny as clerks tho tbf, but a better film overall. one of my alltime faves
nothing kevin smith has done is good and also he's fat

think of the immense savings if people just attached their fat onto their cars

Apprehensive cause one of their cooler songs? I bet you're scared of more dumb things like crickets and falling leaves.

to be fair, sung tongs is easily my favorite album by anco, but their live performances of the album were a lot different from their studio sound.
what I'm worried about is centipede hz live being worse than it is already, since they're probably going to play mostly from that. Not saying that live performance of we tigers was bad, just their newer stuff has the potential to be annoying/bad
Why does everyone hate Centipede Hz so much? Other than the fact Pitchfork gave it a 7.4, but it's been established that Pitchfork isn't the most reliable source already.
CHz grew on me over time, I don't like it as much as Strawberry Jam or STGSTV but it's a neat album
all of their albums are pretentious garbage whats the big deal
What is a Centipede Hz?

Why would you even bring up Pitchfork? I don't understand the relevancy of Pitchfork over other shitty review websites like NME or Consequence of Sound.
And what the fuck does "t's been established that Pitchfork isn't the most reliable source already." mean? It's their fucking opinion whether or not an album is good or bad. What are you relying on? Their opinion to always coincide with yours?

yeah sung tongs is solid, love that one. It's a shame they didn't carry that folk sound into another record.
haven't heard it in ages. Didn't get much into the jam or hertz album. The Panda solo record was nice too.
Tame Impala for some reason remind me so much of The Beatles... maybe it's because the singer sounds so much like John Lennon but there is something more to it :v:
i saw them when they were supporting the flaming lips at that big tall theatre on bourke street one time
they all had the same fucking guitars as the beatles and everything and i got bored after about two songs so i just went back to the bar
i was drunk (miserable drunk not good drunk) by the time the lips came out and some fat chick kept throwing her arms up and smacking me in the mouth the whole night
3/10

I guess it's because people like to use P4K as a source of ~reputable~ and ~reliable~ reviews as well as a reference point to base their own opinions (which in itself is a stupid concept).
