Their post production is actually really good, the album looks stunning, my copy arrived this morning
it's like they rushed the post-production of the album because it's pretty rough at times
In this day and age it's fairly clear an artist can make their recordings sound however good aesthetically as they want. Decades ago, not so easy.
I noticed some clipping in the vocals of songs which distorted it in the new album but fortunately that's now an accepted technique whereas 10-20 years ago it would have been frowned upon radiohead used it in hail to the thief so I'm not giving shit to arcade fire for allowing a bit of clippin
I actually haven't bought a single album this year. Well, a friend gave me a copy of Sunbather by Deafheaven for my birthday. I think Deprive by Disfiguring The Goddess is going to be the first and maybe even last album I buy this year... It hasn't been a great year for music imo
It's been a great year for music though. [editline]26th October 2013[/editline] rip vedi miss u already bae

wtf does everyone feel about Slint yo. Spiderland is like legitimately one of my favorite albums and I'm vibing well to it this morning.
Spiderland is one of those albums that depresses me like no other but I adore it anyways, Washer is a beautiful track first-wave post rock is my favorite

I saw these guys at a concert a few weeks ago, I thought they were great. The lead singer had such a cool voice.

Or if you want to really be depressed Mozart's Lacrimosa. Lacrimosa is the kind of music you would use for a scene where the protagonist is standing over the grave of his dead wife and kid in a long black coat. Having a flashback where they're all alive and laughing. He knew he shouldn't have dug further but his gut told him something was wrong, and now he stands over his shattered dreams, wanting vengeance.
does anyone actually pay attention at doris post anymore???
whenever I see dori or butre as the most recent post I know the post is just going to be 'they suck' no matter what band it is so whatever Anyway this year has been okay for music but definitely a step down from 2012 but 2012 was such a good year for music that it would have been hard to beat I said at the start of the year that this year would be a year of new albums from older bands without many new discoveries and I think I was right in that, there aren't many new artists with new albums I can think of that I liked except factory floor
they suck
teacrap sucks
if someone says something sucks its bad but if someone says something blows its also bad but sucking and blowing are opposites what??
blowing sucks
butre sucks at life
