Fucking hell, not only is that a class venue but some of the new shit they were playing was absolutely amazing, Jetfighter is fucking mental and AWOL is great as well. When they get released they'll be peaking on the charts.

one thing that did interest me that night though was one of the support acts called Black Futures ( apparently they recently changed their name from Subsource). They were exactly the kind of band I thought would kick ass live, a mixture of real guitars and drums with electronic stuff. Bit too dubsteppy for my tastes but a few songs were great. Needs to be alot darker and faster - but if they do that they'll have a pretty awesome sound.

The lack of Weird Al is bugging me.

One who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life.
I dislike Weird Al and have a zest for life.
I have no strong feelings for Weird Al one way or another.
music isnt supposed to be fun idiots
Music is not a game.

Who else in this world mixes hundreds upon hundreds of ancient instruments, hundreds of vocalists, and digital composition and synth together like this?
Not anyone I know of.
If I create a King Crimson thread would anyone use it or is that band too unknown?
have you ever thought the music vid cut of a song is better than the album cut

King Crimson is far from obscure

Considering the prog thread is dead in the water, a kc thread would probably not last very long
King Crimson is far from obscure
Every time I ask someone if they heard of King Crimson they always respond with "who is that"?
they're not exactly mainstream famous, nowadays at least, but theyre literally one of the biggest prog rock bands of the 70s. They basically invented the style. they are a very famous band amongst music fans.
i've never cared even a little bit about prog and i still know who they are
Isn't pink floyd that guy who plays that music?
pink is a girl color for gaylords
Mogwai's Rave Tapes album leaked apparently. Gotta go listen to that shit

thats because you're asking friends you didn't meet because of a common interest in music
only like 3 of my friends have heard of king crimson

I still like every bit of Akira Yamaoka's work as I did before.
