i remember when i listened to metal. i was a lame high school nerd of 15. now i listen to emo jams and taylor swift, and i earn money and am at college. im no conspiracy nut but if u dont see the correlation then you are probably in denial.
its not correlation until you draw a graph about it
AM I NOT ENOUGH HIPSTER FOR YOU GAHHHHHHHHHH
Being a hipster is not about liking dadrock or liking obscure music, it's more about the fashion and attitude. And none of us are hipsters.
[editline]awd[/editline]
They are more making fun of the fact that you take music so serious. Just enjoy what you enjoy and let others enjoy what they enjoy, if they happen to enjoy the same then that's cool and if they don't then that's cool too.
whats that instrument at 11:48

they're all glockenspiels but slowed down and sampled in an mpc to sound like different mallet played things because i cant afford a real xylophone or a vibraphone
gonna risk harassment here and actually mention something related to music (sorry)-- does anyone have any rec's of stuff that sounds like the Twin Peaks soundtrack? Since it is a common known fact that it's the best soundtrack to any show ever. The best stuff is the really dreamy stuff eg these-

that macintosh plus album gives me that slow-mo jazz vibe that some of the Twin Peaks songs did. The them to TP is either sampled, is inspiring a portion of, or a part of one of the songs from the Mount Eerie album 'Wind's Poem'
You can actually recreate the entire Twin Peaks soundtrack by buying a Yamaha keyboard setting the voice to e-organ and holding down any key for 20 seconds.

Being australian is actually a form of genetic mutation brought about from the bite of a redback spider and/or Paul Hogan
AC/DC is pretty solid rock and roll.
Pretty sure we went through this before.

They have a link to r/radiohead in the sidebar which is in the middle of a different genre subreddits.
Jesus christ it's just so fucking dumb.
And last time I went there there was some generic fucking wannabe dubstep song on the front page and people praising it for being "alternative" and "fresh" because it had guitar samples that reminded them of Radiohead.

The last time (and coincidentally the only time) I went there it was a massive circlejerk over entry level artists (think: why daft punk are the saviours of electronic music) and metal. Anybody who dared criticise any of the heralded artists got flamed out of the thread.
They'd rather sit in this happy, sterile environment than actually discuss anything.
nothin' like waking up to a good album :)
