today I learned that Clouds Taste Metallic is an amazing album
wcd needs to come back so I can hear more pre-Soft Bulletin Flaming Lips albums
Clouds Taste Metallic is probably my favorite FLips album besides Soft Bulletin
Shame Wayne Coyne said in interviews that he didn't plan on returning to do an album with sound like that.
what happened to jude law anyway?
he's the kind of actor i'd have expected to be dynamite and really prominent these days but it's like he's dropped off the face of the earth pretty much
No man likes Jude Law
Anyone know any Post Rock bands that have a psychedelic sound to them? Along with punk or something..

rock bottom but should get em all.. good things lurk under the tag "canterbury scene"
love some soft machine too.. jeez I haven't heard that stuff in so long :(
Found this cool free album at a local record store that was just hangin out with the upcoming concert promos and ads for the lion king musical. The CD itself is burned and warped into an uplayable state. I thought it was pretty cool.

Some pretty spooky atmospheric drone. Doesn't seem like the "hit two notes on a synth and reverb the sound of me eating crackers for two hours" drone album I usually find on bandcamp.

Yeah, it's disappointing that they completely changed direction and never turned back once Ronald Jones left. At least they continued making good music, though. One thing that pisses me off to no end is how Mercury Rev changed once David Baker left. I can't stand Deserter's Songs, but Boces is in my top 10 of all time.
I LOVE Boces and Yerself is Steam.
Deserter's Songs would've been better if they didn't try to add that god-awful hidden ending.
Skaters debut album lives up to the hype

I just can't stand the style of the whole album. It's like a knockoff Soft Bulletin.
Except Soft Bulletin came the year after Deserter's Songs. But I get exactly what you're saying.
Guys. If you haven't heard White Suns' new album, "Totem" yet, you have to. It's probably one of the best noise rock / no-wave albums I've ever heard.
If you have listened to it, thoughts?
I like Sinews a lot, how does the new album compare?

Started listening to the Kendrick Lamar Thoughts and Actions mixtape on Spotify.
Can't get Paper Birds out of my head, it's so fucking good.
Fragile is great too.

RE4 is so good. I've been thinking of playing through all of my 2004-2007 favorites like F.E.A.R. and RE4 lately.

I have RE4 on steam, it's one hell of a fun game. It's one of the few games where I can do a new game+ without getting bored. Even got all the 5 star ratings on every character in mercenaries. Hella fun, yo.
May buy it later then if it is that fun.

Totally agree. Through the years I've owned it on the Gamecube twice I think, the PS2 twice and then on the PS3. I'm sure that cumulatively that I have finished that game more than ten times in my life.
