See, this is why I love deadmau5. Skip to 30m in.
New Swans album has been leaked, but is on a very low quality. I will hold my judgement for now.
not even going to bother with a low quality leak
The hipster will be strong.
it'll be way more /mu/ than hipster
are hipsters even a thing anymore?
They're so not a thing that they're becoming a thing again in a post-progressive-ironic kind of way
They're so not a thing that they're becoming a thing again in a post-progressive-ironic kind of way
This is too advanced for me.
I get having a 50's dad haircut but I don't get acting like a 50's dad, maybe it's just me.
I would hope no one starts acting like a 50s Dad cos it probably means you are racist and sexist and if you are then I want nothing to do with you
Oh shit, the new Emmure album leaked
its really good tbh
you should go to portland someday the hipsters are alive and well
are they still that stereotype (overly skinny pants, sailor tats, bad facial hair and pretentious opinion on art) or have they evolved beyond that yet?
I never got hipsters really.
I never got hipsters really.
I like the fashion they made mainstream.
I like the mainstream fashion they made popular.
It's just I think it is really odd. Like they seem to be inspired by transcendentalism and free thinking and stuff, but then they go out there and all like have the same fashion instead dressing in a way that they themselves want. If you want to avoid becoming "mainstream" then don't create a style at all. Just wear whatever makes you feel good.

That's like the Williamsburg stereotype though, "hipster" is just a broad term attached to anyone who thinks ahead of the curve tbh.
we don't really have them here, just people that wear the fashion. I haven't met any genuine ''hipsters'' so far I think.
[editline]awd[/editline]
I know more scene kids than ''hipsters'' which is shocking these days.
I decided recently I really dont like the term hipster. It's totally meaningless, in that everyone has their own definition... It's pretty dumb. People like what they like. They wear what they want. Follow trends they like, listen to cool music. so what. why do u need a pretentious label for it (imo its ironically pretentious and holier than thou to call someone a hipster)

People only label themselves as hipster because they want to be seen as cool and fashionable. People label other people as hipsters as an insult because being outside of the mainstream conscience is a apparently a bad thing. Hipster as an insult works in the same vein as using goth as an insult.
Either way, it's a pretty juvenile term.
from now on we shall only call old people with a hip replacement hipster

and the netherlands is a pretty progressive country anyway
Gonna hopefully Beats Antique in concert (for $20) with the girl who introduced me to them as a date. Aww yea.
Beats Antique is p neat, saw them open for Les Claypool once.
why do people like primus
I like the bass

some songs are pretty catchy and it's quite interesting from a technical point of view (aka for real music nerds)
