What's the general opinion on Shinedown? I assume not very good since a lot of their songs have those "deep" and "meaningful" lyrics behind them. Personally I like them for the instrumentals.
The alt rock/metal band? I wouldn't turn it off if someone put it on but I wouldn't put it on myself.

If anyone cares that Slint documentary can now be found online.
my voice is a bit fucked up atm so I can't make some frequencies at the moment, but it's p useful. where I would usually go slightly off-key I now can't, I'm now on key while singing :v: nature is amazing
I didn't sleep night before last, and when I was driving home after works, so after about 40 hours no sleep after a wedding shift (long, slow, mindnumbing) and on the boil down from a lot of caffeine I was hitting some amazing notes.
If anyone cares that Slint documentary can now be found online.
Oh shit, thanks for the tip, I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I'm actually listening to Tweez right now and was thinking 'man I can't wait for that documentary to come out'.
I've always found them to be really overrated. Like I'll listen if someone is playing them, but I don't get people saying they're the best band and stuff.
I think it's because of their range as a band, the first 2 albums were similar indie rock style but then they went into almost psychedelic rock and post-punkish stuff. Humbug was the furthest they experimented in terms of changing their sound and to be honest I wasn't too keen on it. That and from what I can tell the reason many think that they're one of the best bands of the last decade is simply because Alex Turner is simply a brilliant lyricist for me with the first 2 albums he really managed to tap into what it was like to live in the Midlands & the North of England in the late naughties. I'm not actually from the north which I count as anything above Sheffield, but I'm not southern either so I feel like I can really relate because I was doing the stupid shit he sang about.

the last.fm scrobbler is acting weird for me, it's skipping random tracks to scrobble and asks me to scrobble them like 10-20 minutes later via the thing that you see when you scrobble your iphone

How do i organize my music? right now i just throw stuff into my music folder everything is tagged but windows does not like a lot of files in a folder
Into artist folders then album folders?
Into artist folders then album folders?
Is there a tool to easy do so or do i have to do it myself?
I use itunes and it does it all for me whenever I import anything. Not sure if there's a program for it, but I doubt it. You could download a media player that sorts everything for you by copying to it's own directory, and delete your original files, but there is a small risk to that. Dont hate for itunes, it actually works on macs.
How do i organize
Artist > Album > Songs or Genre > Albums I really want to set up a good library and be able to access it anywhere in a smooth way. [editline]14th April 2014[/editline]
Is there a tool to easy do so or do i have to do it myself?
no you PLUM, put some effort in or you won't get anywhere ;)
Is there a tool to easy do so or do i have to do it myself?
Media players essentially do that for you.
Media players essentially do that for you.
i think he means on his PC.
That's what I'm talking about? Usually when you install a new media player there's an option to organise your folders.
well then it's me whose dumb because i only just found that out and i've been sorting it out barehanded like a chump
contrast is key
How do i organize my music? right now i just throw stuff into my music folder everything is tagged but windows does not like a lot of files in a folder
a tad like this but not quite [t]http://puu.sh/88vxY.png[/t] I kinda gave up after a while and I don't even have a whole lot of music on my laptop, only like 20GB. Me giving up mainly had to do with being unable to move files and now I won't reorganize because then it'll fuck up in itunes.
Artist>(Year)Album Name is the best way to go. Also, having it be something like "Smashing Pumpkins, The" for the artist name.
I go umbrella term for genre > band > album, sometimes I put the year at the album but 99% of the time I just don't bother at all.
