craig charles is my DJspiration because if he can come back from a drug problem and sexual assault accusations to become one of the most respected funk/soul DJs then surely I can make 50 quid here and there
I went to his night and it was genuinely ace. Drink were on the expensive side though.
Haha yes I got to see Warpaint last week on the same day as Mentonomy, Temples, and The Fat White Family
You mean Metronomy? [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Anna Prior is my indie qt
Yeah probably, I'd ever even heard of them until I wondered in the tent it was pretty funky from what I remember
They haven't released a record that I didn't like, would love to see them live.
I only vaguely know their singles that were on the tv/radio.
their first album was great and their second was pretty okay when they used real instuments for the most part but they fell in to synth it seems

tbh I never thought the Hotline Miami soundtrack was that great. If we are goin for bangin modern retro soundtrack tho Drive is the way to go I fucking love that soundtrack (a lot of it is ambient via also functioning as a score but the main songs are sooooooo goooooood) [editline]30th August 2014[/editline] been jammin 2 these for 3 years now. most people go on about the first one but personally I like the second better. It's also used in one of the best, but more understated hence why it is often forgotten, parts of the film (the dreamy sequence of him and the girl+her son driving around and going through the waterway type thing (i have no idea what its actually called) and to the river)
you might want to try out Every Indie Band Ever
if I ever make a band that's exactly what I'm gonna call it. [editline]30th August 2014[/editline] I'l give u credit tho bbz

Chromatics into the night is s pretty good album in that vein. [editline]31st August 2014[/editline] I used to think Pavement were a bit crap but I can't stop listening to crooked rain crooked rain
