yeah same here
TBH sounds like a kind of song that you'd literally just listen to in a club and even then you wouldn't really pay attention because you've had some garys.
I'm pure and innocent, walking the path of eternal love in the footsteps of our holy lord and saviour Jesus ''The Christ'' Johnson so I wouldn't know.
i've been meaning to listen to Captain Ahab for years now, and now i'm finally doing it if you haven't heard of it, it's Jonathan Snipes from clipping and another guy making weird dance pop stuff this song is the only song i used to listen to by them, and now i'm going to check out the rest of their stuff
I was into it until the vocals

Idk I'm getting self aware weirdness\surreal irony and almost parody of the 80s sound or something rather than them being totally sincere
I've been listening to Trevor Something's music. It's chill.
I still think this is one of the best tracks I've ever heard.
Idk I'm getting self aware weirdness\surreal irony and almost parody of the 80s sound or something rather than them being totally sincere
i think it's sort of a post-irony thing. like they're aware of the ridiculousness and shit but they love it unironically like how i feel about Yung Lean and slam and shit their latest album is even called The End of Irony
PC Label is a fucking weird label.

currently listening to this album http://captainahab.bandcamp.com/album/the-great-disappointment there's a lot of harsh noise, glitch and stuff, so it sounds much more like clipping than the song i posted earlier

Idk if there's tracks that are purely noise or glitch but I picked up that kind of stuff in the production, will check out the album later but right now I'm about to listen to Glenn Branca properly for the first time and im pretty excited to do that

What's the name of the song that plays in the first 15 seconds of this video? I know I've heard it before but without lyrics I can't really track it down on my own.

Didn't like too much the mastering over the voice, but I hear the beat is sick.

Pitchfork approved, I can jive with that. Edit: I want to clarify I was just joking and I do actually quite like the song.
Where to start on Sonic Youth I have decided to get into them cos I've never listened to anything by them but they seem right up my alley [editline]2nd September 2014[/editline] I know they started off as no-wave and noise rock but changed a fair bit. Is a chronological big listen worthwhile? I did that with Swans and it was a rewarding experience.
