How is it pronounced? I've heard it's just 'sun' but that seems wrong
it's just 'sunn' iirc, but usually i pronounce it 'sunn oh' anyway to avoid any misunderstandings
I actually say Sun Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and see how offended people get
sun ohhhhhhhh & deadmaufive split when
I decided to go out of my comfort zone and listened to sunn O))) Bloody loved it
Now listen to their collab with Boris. Seriously one of my very favorite albums.
Now listen to their collab with Boris. Seriously one of my very favorite albums.
I've been meaning to, I love Boris so I can't see why I wouldn't love it
it was this one but grey i think i donated it to goodwill
I thought you were talking about one of the fun neon ones, yeah okay that is mad ugly
Now listen to their collab with Boris. Seriously one of my very favorite albums.
Personally find this to be an incredibly lackluster collab given the two bands. Not bad though. [editline]28th October 2014[/editline]
sunn o))) are really good i remember a couple years back i'd laugh at drone for being silly but now it's one of my favorite genres and i'm currently 60 albums into bull of heaven's discography
im interested in getting into that band but their discography is so ridiculous. Would you say just moving through it chronologically works? is their stuff hard to get given the sheer quantity? Which series do you prefer (if you've delved deep enough to decide?) [editline]28th October 2014[/editline] Actually, I'm thinking of their Ulver Collab- that was a letdown. Not sure if I've heard the Boris one.
The Ulver collab was really bad, yeah
Just ordered an exmillitary cassette! ty ormolcyka
I've been listening to Discount (the band). I bought some of their music off amazon since you won't be able to find any of their cds anywhere. They were an amazing mid 90s to early 2000s band, and I loved the riffs they played mixing up the pop/punk style. It's a shame they split up. Alison Mosshart split off and is doing her own thing in The Kills, so it worked out in a sense. Her evolution as a musician/song writer is so drastic compared to her younger self in the 90s. On another note, I've also been listening to majestic more. Does anyone know artist such as this?

I don't understand how Tom Delonge from blink182 has been singing for over 25 years, still can't sing for shit in fact he's gotten worse over time. Now he just sounds like he's yodeling like he's had a stroke or something. who are some other amazingly bad singers who are professional musicians?
blink are rad tho
I don't ahve a link to it but theres a guy on RYM who listened to all of them chronologically and then wrote a list of his best to worst albums.
i've looked through a couple lists earlier and none of them seem to have fully listened to BoH's discog yet and i've noticed i tend to disagree with them a lot that's why i start all my BoH reviews with a short description of what the song is, so if people like a certain style they can listen to it and decide if they like it themselves
can he really SING tho? if I'm wrong here feel free to correct me and I'll accept that I was wrong
he actually totally can iirc he was pretty bad at some point but then he learned how to sing again not the best example but it's the first one i thought of when i thought of live metallica
can he really SING tho? if I'm wrong here feel free to correct me and I'll accept that I was wrong
obviously not the greatest singer of all time but damn he is p sweet embedded 8:41 edit: linked fucked up but him recording song off latest album [editline]29th October 2014[/editline]
he actually totally can iirc he was pretty bad at some point but then he learned how to sing again not the best example but it's the first one i thought of when i thought of live metallica
he blew his voice back in 1991 when recording black album, since then he has a tape he practices along to constantly.
the black album was so bad it even killed hetfield's voice lmao that's amazing
yo the song writing was tight as fuck on the black album
so tight they only used 8th note powerchords mad tight srsly tho black album is imo metallica's worst album it's just so goddamn boring and uninteresting and almost all of the songs sound the same also it doesn't help that it's their most famous album so i've heard every single song so many times that they're extra boring on top of already being uninteresting
fair enough I was wrong [editline]awd[/editline] Brent Hinds (lead guitar mastodon) is a good example but I dig him as musician.
Stephen Malkmus is always the first one to come to mind anytime someone mentions bad singers I think he tries too hard to be Mark E. Smith

I think that i can say for sure that Under Pressure and RTJ2 will be in my favorite albums this year.
