Dronevil is very different, seeing as you're meant to play the discs simultaneously, this whole other experience comes through.
I don't see why anyone would listen to the drone side or the evil side by themselves though, maybe the evil but it's one package to me.
I think that Evil side is really awesome by itself
"Buy a synth and drum machine"
Yes as if we can all afford to do that
and don't even get me started on the fact that a DAW does not define a musician lol

I have Altar and Flood but haven't listened to either. I'll get around to that as well.
Flood is phenomenal. Listen to it, then listen to it again.

That's the point.
There's three listening experiences on the album.
I have a hard time deciding which I like more, Flood or Akuma no Uta.
They're basically polar opposites, but both are really fuckin awesome

Band intended for it to be heard that way, so I'm disinterested in my personal choice. Could easily say listening to the album backwards is another experience, but it's whatever the listener wants in the end tbh.

uh a USB midi controller is not a synthesizer what the hell are you on about
also people with jobs often spend their money on things like basic sustenance and shelter sooo
People have disposable income and not everywhere has jacked up prices like Australia...
Yann Tiersen... amazing.
People have disposable income and not everywhere has jacked up prices like Australia...
Still doesnt change the whole "buy a synth"
- links a midi controller
also I can get cheap shit in aus by importing, but its pretty expensive in general dude to go the hardware option straight off the bat
like for someone who is just looking to start up with some edm music why would you spend $200 on something you don't know you'll continue with for very long
Boris have never really been ambient though, I'd say they're more noise than drone.
Sound Track For the Film 'Mabuta No Ura' gets pretty ambient at times.
Sound Track For the Film 'Mabuta No Ura' gets pretty ambient at times.
its a soundtrack.
its actually not
[editline]3rd June 2013[/editline]
get yourself learned on Boris, vedi
Sound Track from Film "Mabuta no Ura" is an album by Japanese experimental band Boris. Mabuta no Ura (lit. "Under the Eyelids") is not a real film but rather the result of the band imagining a film in their heads and writing the soundtrack to it. The album is very driven on photography and art-styling.
I found a copy of Pink Floyd's The Wall on cassette in a charity shop today, is that a rarity? They also had Chasing Amy on VHS
lol no
[editline]3rd June 2013[/editline]
there have been at least 14 different runs of The Wall on cassette

I already bought it and it didn't fit in my disk tray, but thanks anyway.
Listening to a Girls Aloud record and it's actually really good, am I going insane or what?!
I am using Chrome and when I search "Reach for the Dead" in the omnibox, it starts playing on the Google results page. I'm not sure why or how either. I tried it several times and each time it would start playing after a few seconds. Doesn't happen in Firefox or Safari. I closed the tab and it keeps playing until I close Chrome fully.
[editline]3rd June 2013[/editline]
I also have plugins disabled in Chrome (where you have to click to allow a plugin to play). Anyone know why this is happening?
ok
I'm seriously stumped. I don't know if it's only happening to me or not, so I'm just going to assume my computer is possessed with the ghost of Boards of Canada.
