Just get yourself a GPS locator for his collar. I think PetSafe sells them.
I really wanna try doing something from scratch, as in: craft some kind of BT receiver and android app that would provide interface, signal strength etc..

Push up the glasses, man. You're not that old yet.
I just made a small habitat for a house spider I found today.
The spider seems to like its container. It already has already made some webs and is currently just chilling it them. It has some water, and I'll find or trap some food for it tomorrow morning.
I think I'm going to make more of these, and use them whenever I find a spider. Soon I'll have a collection of house spiders that I'll be taking care of.
According to what I've read online, it's not good for them to put them outside. So I'll keep them, but in a container so I can kind of control how much of the house they're taking over.

That must feel so strange
What possible advantage could that yield.

The Xbox pad actually feels more "arcadey" with the convex sticks, and I just prefer concave for the DS3. There's a reason people have been screaming for it forever.
concave is always better but then why ruin an xbox controller? buy some new nubs for the ps3 online

I've got a wireless xbox controller I use for my xbox, that's actually my PC pad.
I haven't played a game that required a PC pad in a while.
Well, as my first partial DIY project I want to make this
http://learn.adafruit.com/adalight-diy-ambient-tv-lighting
Does anyone know where I can get the parts for cheaper then adafruit, I've found the uno for 10$, but the rest I have no idea on
[editline]11th September 2013[/editline]
And on the topic of PC pads, I just use my PS3 controler as my PC/Android pad
[editline]Help[/editline]
Does anyone know if it would be possible to use the 5V output from the board to power the lights?
...
I've been wanting to do something similar for quite some time now.

Huh, thats got me thinking..
One of my 360 controllers recently died, and ive got two ps3 controllers.
Might try it just for the hell of it
Edit;
It feels.. odd. But i think i like it.
Also, my PS3 sticks dont work in my 360 controller. They hit the thing you put them on when you try to use them
Put them on my blue controller, thought the gray sticks look better on that then the black one;

Just out of curiosity:
Is it possible to read human heart rate/pulse from wrist using some kind of sensor/module/chip?
I know it's possible using IR lights for finger, but what about wrist?

What do you mean, they hit the thing you put them on? Like bumping around the edges, or what? I know with mine, I've got full range of motion, there's no exterior deadzone like I was expecting.
Also, if those xbox sticks are sticking in place, it's an easy fix. Just chop another mm or so off the posts you sit them on, and they'll be as smooth as stock.

They do rub around the circle, but not enough to hang.
The place the stick hits is that box thing at the bottom of the posts. When theyre all the way down, they only get half the range of motion before hitting the square. If i force it over, itll pop up and clear everything, but when i go to click it, it just goes back down and hits the box.
Im not too worried about it, i was trying it on a non-working controller to see if i liked it

Oh, I hadn't actually noticed that. Mine seem to work fine, but maybe the wired controller's built differently?

This controller is wireless, but its an older white one. Maybe they changed the sticks a little on the newer black ones?
Now, when you say "hitting the square", do you mean the joystick is hitting the little cube that the joystick controller's built into? I'm still not quite sure what you're saying there...

Yes, it hits the cube that the joystick controller is in.
If i force the stick over, it pops up maybe 1/3-1/2 way off the part of the controller that goes in it

And your remote was a Dualshock? They may have changed the joysticks on that. Mine was a SixAxis, and it doesn't do that.

The PS3 controller i have is also a SixAxis.
The only thing i can think of, is maybe the older 360 controller is different from the newer black ones

That could be it. I honestly don't know.

It is possible to read the heart rate (or more correctly pulse rate) from the wrist, on the downside it's more complicated and less accurate, generally it's done either with ultrasound or a careful arrangement of high intensity LEDs and a photo-diode.

Very cool. I always wished I had learned to skateboard as a child, but we lived out in the country, and the roads weren't the best.
Just got my 150,000 volt transformer in, I plan to pot it in some sort of plastic container and vacuum it out. That way I don't have to fork out a whole bunch of money on bushings.
150kVAC to earth, that is. Most X-ray transformers are center tapped transformers, like NSTs. This is not. 160 Kohm winding resistance, meant for 10mA.
