just about as overrated as movies, music, sculpture or videogames etc
which is to say not at all
A lot of sports are really fucking stupid to watch.
Like football.
Oh boohoo, someone went fucking near me, I better fall down and play dead.
Sports don't interest me, but I wouldn't say its boring.
OP: "I hate sports because all the guys who play sports get the girls I like"
Or, you know, THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT DON'T LIKE SPORTS.
GET OVER IT.
I'm very frustrated, when I play sports in teams. I like Tennis way better, 1vs1. I can think straight and calm down, while in teams it's a total chaos.
Watching sports makes you cool
being a neckbeard and playing videogames all day makes you a nerde
its simple math you guys.

You have no idea how wrong that generalisation is. The actions of a couple of teams doesn't reflect the entire sport.
I can understand the people who don't like certain sports because they think they are boring to watch. For example I don't like watching Baseball and Soccer because its boring as all hell but Hockey and Football I do enjoy.
What I don't understand are people who go "Oh I don't like sports because they are overrated/People who play sports are dumb/I don't understand sports so I hate them"
Playing sports is like playing a video game, only more competitive.
Oh and don't say sports are "boring" for arbitrary reasons. All you need is to find a sport that interests you, pick a favorite team, and get involved. You'll have a lot of fun, and if you go to sports bars and watch there you'll make a lot of friends (or enemies).
Sports are a lot of fun, but having their own section in the newspaper is probably a bit too much if you ask me.
It builds character.
I played a lot of organized hockey and baseball when i was younger.
I had a great time.
Only now, i find watching these sports the most gruesomely boring task in the world.
I don't know why people give so much of a shit about player stats.
Maybe it's for the same reason RPG players care so much about stats in RPGs?
Only problem with this is.... player stats don't directly influence the skill level of the player, so it isn't even close to accurate.
Sports are cool and all, but I think it's ridiculous how much money football players, for example, make compared to scientists and doctors
I hate fucking football, not the sport itself, but the rage it starts
whenever I see a thread like this on a gaming forum I replace the word sports with videogames and imagine the rage it would cause.
being really into sports is just like being into videogames (except arguably more socially acceptable), ok Facepunch?
I only have faint interest in actually watching rugby and hurling. Even then I don't support teams or memorize names and scores, it's just fun to watch a bit.
I love playing sports though, mostly rugby. I started to hate soccer because there is always that ONE ASSHOLE that pegs people as hard as they can with the ball when you are getting near to them and they have nobody to pass to, I got kicked off a team years back when I gave a guy a dig in the face for doing that to me like two times.
there's a sport for everyone
i for one greatly enjoy volleyball
Hockey is the only sport worth mentioning. It's sheer brutality is awesome.
I hate pretty much every other sport because of its slow pace.
What I don't get is people who talk about sports like football (or soccer) for hours and all they're doing is throwing about statistics
I just think that earning shittons of money for kicking a ball around is ridiculous.
Personally, I do not like sports. However, everyone around here seems to think that playing sports is what makes you a person. You like sports, that's fine. It is until someone goes around saying that they're 100x better than you just because they play football. There are a ton of people around here who do that, and go around saying that "IF YOU DON'T PLAY X, THEN YOU'RE NOT A MAN."
Fuck you, I'm a man. I have the hormones to prove it.
I won't be particularly interested until we have zero gravity sports, or lunar sport. I'd love to tackle a guy on the moon. Or in space.
Astro-wrestling.
Sports are awesome. Team sports are not my thing, and I only really like watching hockey finals, and Olympic finals. There is a sport for everyone, no matter what you do. I ski. Its great! You can skydive, you can play tennis, you can rockclimb! This whole real sports are always in stadiums mentality has to stop.
I've always wondered why team sports are SUCH a big deal with people my age (16). Don't get me wrong, i'm no fat smelly neckbeard, I mountain bike, jog, lift weights etc. but why is it TEAM sports that are such a big deal? Everyone knows the score of the last soccer/basketball/football/hockey/baseball game. To me it just sounds like a lot of names and numbers. "Hey remember when Jose Andernez did blah blah blah?" "Oh yeah that was a great game last night!" And it's the same with playing sports, all the rules seem like a huge tangled mess and when the ball comes to me I never know what to do. It even gets to the point where girls won't go out with a guy that doesn't play team sports. It seems like in order to be normal you have to play or watch team sports. This is super frustrating, anyone else feel this way??
Find girls that aren't shallow.
team sports are fun, the closeness of you and your teammates is really great.
it really is like playing a great video game in the feeling that you get from it, i mean i don't understand watching sports but i like being there with the other people around me.
I'm too lazy to do sports.

There, I said it.
A lot of sports are really fucking stupid to watch.

that's completely wrong, you've probably never been tackled in football
Though I understand why people enjoy sports and I love golf; I've always felt that people that only acknowledge physicality and refuse to really use their minds are ultimately being inhuman. I mean if we only judge ourselves based on our bodies rather than our minds, what separates us from the animals that we as a species have risen above?
'I KICKED A BALL BETWEEN TWO POSTS, SUCK MY MOTHERFUCKING COCK'
That's pretty much every football fan around my area summed up.
Sports suck
Sports are awesome...
...When you're IN THE GAME, watching on TV is fucking dull.
It's like playing video games, when you're actually playing, it's awesome, but watching is not that fun.
