ITT: loads of kids don't consider you as a company
ITT: Loads of kids that don't understand how companies work
You're not exactly old either and i guess due to your massive success with Gmod you hardly had any time actually getting to know a company from the inside. Feel free to prove me wrong.
Anybody made a gmod map of his office yet?
You got any games in development? Seems a pretty big investment to make if you have no income in the pipeline.
Set up a live webcam for the offiice.
You got any games in development? Seems a pretty big investment to make if you have no income in the pipeline.
You always have to invest before you earn. When this office actually does what it's supposed to it will be profitable in no time.
What town is it in?

Set up a 24/7 webcam, one of the rotateable ones, for the next few days while you guys are moving in and all that. :buddy:
Set up a live webcam for the offiice.
Danish people share the same thoughs. :buddy::hf::razz:
So you gonna get some dividers for the office? You have so much room you could also make lanes for those chair races.
You're not exactly old either and i guess due to your massive success with Gmod you hardly had any time actually getting to know a company from the inside. Is it Rented or Leased?
Well the fact that you bought an office suddenly, seems unprofessional and just a waste of money. You don't even have a company that is big enough and has enough staff to occupy the office. For now, its just going to be you working alone; its the truth. EDIT: For now* With just one or two friends.
Yeah I didn't have any jobs before GMod, I didn't even exist. I'm 27 btw, that's about 15 years difference ;)
You had quite a few jobs and you're 27. I figured that on my own. Still, this enables you to actually lead a midsized company how? Usually, people who lead companies have 20+ years work experience and some kind of economy related diploma. Don't get me wrong, but i think you're getting ahead of yourself. One advantage you do have though is that you don't have a lot to lose. People less fortunate than you would be in deep shit if something like this failed.
I'm reading this from lunch :D OT: GL Garry!
Let me be blunt as fuck for a minute. GMod has made me money. It's made me too much money. Personally I could retire now and live quite comfortably because of it (Even just off the interest). I have already made more money than I would have made working a 9-5 for the rest of my life. So the income from GMod now goes to Facepunch Studios LTD. Which it has been doing for a year now. Offices in Walsall aren't expensive, relative to the rest of the country/world. It's Walsall. So we can easily afford to buy more than we need and grow into it. Which is exactly what the intention is. If GMod stops selling now we have enough money in the company to support it for 4 years at current costs without making another penny. And yes, GMod isn't going to last forever - but how long has it lasted so far? We're not going to drop it like a stone when it's making so much money. But we're not gonna just sit back and laugh while the money pours in either. We're going to be trying to move onto the next level, with other games and another ventures.
You had quite a few jobs and you're 27. I figured that on my own. Still, this enables you to actually lead a midsized company how?
Gabe Newell did pretty fine.
Also, I don't see why you think running a company is so hard. I've been self employed for nearly 10 years.
