hey I have a soloution to this problem: Don't say the "Under God" part, if anyone gives you shit about it tell them that you have freedom of speech and can not say or say anything you damn well please. also, the Under God part of the Pledge of Allegiance was added during the Cold War era. It was basically meant to say "HEY WE BELIEVE IN GOD AND WE ARE UNDER HIM BUT LOOK AT THOSE COMMUNIST PIGS TO THE EAST, THEY DON'T HAVE UNDER GOD IN THEIR ALLEGIANCE SO WE ARE AUTOMATICALLY THE BEST SUPERPOWER IN THE WORLD :downs:" :eng101:

Okay, I guess we can start the cycle over again. Yes, it violates it. Will it be changed, probably not until there are more Atheist than Christians. Why? One way or another it's going to come down to a vote. Seeing as how a majority of the country is Christian at this point, it's going to stay that way unless the Supreme Court does finally say it is unconstitutional, which could very well happen some time in the future.

They don't want me to get an abortion because I'm killing one of god's children They don't want free healthcare because that's pushing towards a socialist regime that is run by the anti-christ etc. etc. I have to live with big business economics for 4+ years at a time because people won't vote against their bible morals Let the country advance and flourish with what common sense and logic tells you is best, not what a book decides for you. Change is necessary, otherwise we'd still have slaves and a lot of other things.

You are allowed to say the pledge with under god already anyway. If you don't like under god, too bad, the two largest world religions have no problem with it, Christianity and Islam. The United States isn't going to completely ban something because a small percentage of the population disagrees with it when they aren't obligated to do it in the first place.
