A decade already? Facepunch has and still will be my daily digest for more years to come. Well done Facepunch!
My post count feels a little dwarfed though.
ten years
fuck that
And you still look 12, it's amazing! :v:
Love you all for real come up to canada when this site closes dow
All this talk about Facepunch declining made me remember all those people I originally thought were amazing posters but then some event happened and they turned out to complete asswipes/idiots/bigots/homophobes etc. and that always made me sad.
Came here because it is the main "central" of stuff related with the Source engine in general. Even if I usually don't go outside of the Valve and Developer sectors (maybe randomly at SH and In the News), FP is an OK forum, at least better than all what I saw.
There are some parts where I never go because I just I don't feel the need of going there, like General Discussion and Fast Threads, so my view of FP is probably limited.
I wonder what I will see on the following years...
i don't know half the people in this thread
happy 10th facepunch
I guess in celebration of 10 years, Garry decided to make the forums look a bit nostalgic.

Garry made a bad decision that only helps the mod team and has erased communities off of his forum. Idgaf about the two columns but you shouldn't have complete disregard for these people
Then again what would you expect from him

You mean the communities that are free to remake their threads in GD? If simply moving subforums kills those communities then they weren't a very strong community in the first place.
It's hardly the same thing though. Making a megathread won't substitute for a community and multiple threads will become cluttered and lost amongst everything else

Partially why I joined reddit recently. The organization is alot better, subreddits for literally anything. Everything here is put into one giant section. I don't hate FP but I come back here every 2-4 months to check up on stuff.

All the previous posts were totally erased. There is no trace of their existence but our memory. A lot of hard work was lost and can never be found again.

As I said in another thread, Garry said he didn't delete any posts, he only moved them. You simply need to find them again.
Man, this fucking forum.
Anyone remember that pixel army/war section? That kept me so happy in some pretty dark times.
I've used this forum to procrastinate, read news, read bullshit, read interesting shit, get the golden 'love advice', grown up, viewed amazing art, viewed absolutely dire art, created my own mediocre art, laugh at LMAO pics, cry at LMAO pics, improve my grammar and so much more holy crap. All since - what? 05? 06? I don't even know.

Oh and I still got a tiny bit of my 'army' left as my picture. That's cool as hell. Thanks old me, thanks facepunch
