You don't look like you'd even post on a forum, let alone mod one.

I learned that not being on the good side of someone marking your assignments can make a difference.

Don't forget to check out the post-grad research done by the people in your faculty, referencing their work, and incorporating it into your study whenever relevant is the way to their hearts, and thus their marks.

When I was in high school I went to Melbourne Uni for an excursion to their genetics lab. There was only 9 of us so it wasn't that bad for other people. But people were drinking in the area and one of my dear friends is sadly allergic to alcohol. She nearly fainted just walking into the place.
Is there anyone here doing something else that isn't uni or high school? Or wanting to do something after year 12 that isn't uni or getting shitfaced?
bricky errday

God, I understand your pain. There was a hundred kids, who couldn't have been older than twelve! What kind of sicko is forcing their twelve year old kids to think about Uni before they're in secondary school.
What Uni was that?

Just show as much interest as you can in their research, and they might ask you to help out, who knows.

Wow quality info there will look into it :buddy:

Books are for pussies. I bought all my books in first year and I didn't use any of them. Wait until you need it before you buy it, not like they'll be sold out or anything.
I bought most of them online for half price anyway, so i would prefer to have it earlier, instead of buying right when i need it.
Did anyone else ever have second thoughts about the course they picked before starting it? I really would have preferred to do a bachelors of science with a major in theoretical physics but nobody offers it. Also probably would be hard to find a job in Aus with such a degree.
I still get to learn a lot of cool Physics stuff doing Nanotechnology/Applied Physics (and I get to build freaking nanobots!), but I doubt if I wrote a paper on some idea I had with a comparable level of impact if it was correct as to say, the theory of relativity, that anybody would bother listening to me (even if it were correct) because my degree was in applied physics, not theoretical.
if you haven't even started it, don't worry about it.
if you've started it, and have no motivation to cont with it, then worry about it.

I'm sure I WILL enjoy it, but not AS MUCH as the alternative. I've always been a person who's been more interested in the big picture, on what makes the universe tick. Sure, I love the thought of developing new, usable technology. It seems fun. But... I think I'd be so much more satisfied by understanding the universe more.
well then you'll enjoy it.
is australia a racist country?

67% say yes, and i agree.
Yeah man fuck the abbos
asian invasion man pauline was right!!
black people eat chicken ololol
^I hear all that on a daily basis, we are a racist country
I wonder if it would be possible to drop out of RMIT after one complete year if I find I don't want to do this course and then enrol in a second year science course at somewhere like Melbourne. I do basic biology, chemistry and physics in my first year course at RMIT after all, and, from what I've heart, most science courses are like that in most unis.
yesss, roadside picnic came in the mail today, so happy, it was impossible to find a copy of it in Australia.
We had the white Australian policy right up to 1971. Australia was is still kinda is a racist country, but you can't say we're not trying to change.
Not a race issue but I almost got into a fight with three cunts walking past my house who were 'whispering' quite loudly about my friend with red hair. I started screaming at them and told them to fuck off. One of them threatened me so I took him up on his offer and told him to man up and come and hit me.
They all walked off. Motherfucking cunts.
