Great ;-;
So I'm getting raped by both electromagnetism and gravity on a daily basis.
One more good thing about gravity I enjoy is...
Friction :3:
Friction is actually more or less an indirect result of electromagnetism.
You're also being raped by also the Strong Nuclear Force, and the Weak Nuclear Force.

Amazes, or horrifies?
How can anything think that electing a twenty year old is a good thing?
How is it rude? My boyfriend and I both agree it's not.
Also,
I actually really love science. Any sort. It's all interesting. But I am a biology girl, aced it in the HSC, loved it since forever.
The only thing I enjoyed about physics was the experiments. Same for chemistry. But biology was just... Pure theory, I loved it.
If university was free, I'd probably never leave, and study as many disciplines as possible.
Except, you know, poetry and cultural studies.

I do love exploring the curiosities of friction with you ;D

I'm planning on never leaving anyway. Poetry would be an amazing course, literature and art are my joys in life.

Oh god literature I can't stand it.
Wait. That depends on what you consider literature.
What are your top five literary works?

For scientific purposes only, though.
I love you :3:

I'm an avid Shakespeare lover. Hamlet is my number one.
Poetry by Sylvia Plath is in second, especially Lady Lazarus.
Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley is third.
Brave new world, by Aldous Huxley is fourth, and I really recommend this one if you're into science.
And fifth place is tied between The Historian (based on Dracula) and The Gargoyle, based on Dante's Inferno.
Oh god literature I can't stand it.
Wait. That depends on what you consider literature.

She wants me to tell you that she meant "I know I messed that up but I can't edit because I'm on my iPod in bed." She's too tired to edit this post on her laptop. :v:
Okay, that's a reasonable list. I should clarify, I love reading literature, but abhor studying it, as it tends to be a gigantic pretentious circle-jerk about how cultured and intelligent we all are.
Of course, I do go to Melbourne University, so that marks the level of pretentiousness up a couple (read: dozens, if not hundreds) of notches.

Then you guys should go to bed, it's 3 in the morning.
I put my partner to bed about an hour ago, we both feel asleep during Tron (as did our catties).

I love studying literature. Literary theory was the cherry onto of the shit-filled world of high school. I love postmodernism, absurdism, everything. My favorite literary theorist being Michael Foucalt.

Ah, what you term literature, I refer to as philosophical works.
I'm actually rereading 'The Birth of the Clinic' at the moment.

Well, the definition of literature is a work that retains some form of philosophy. That's why crappy novels like Twilight doesn't count as literature.
Also, I'm technically in bed, but Aaron is making me go to sleep. Hypocritical, since he's on his laptop. Playing starcraft.
Night :3:

Yes, because many of the current elected candidates are much better.
Regardless, why is it bad? He's got staffing to help him out with any legal issues, and it allows for another younger perspective within the party.

What difference does it make? Eventually our generation will be in the docks of Parliament, and it will represent our views on society.
Anyway, seeing as how Parliament is meant to be proportional to the population, it is only fair that someone around our ages gets to represent our views.

Represent our views? Australian youth are so entirely apolitical it's utterly unbelievable.
Of course, it doesn't matter anyway, he'll be in the pocket of business just like the rest of them.
Represent our views? Australian youth are so entirely apolitical it's utterly unbelievable.
This is true. But there are some that get involved.
There's not been an issue that affects our generation like there has been in the past, ie Vietnam.
We just have no reason to care.

He's a Lib, what else could you expect?

I do find it funny that if other MPs asked him what he did on his weekend, he'd probably be able to pull the old "had a mate's 21st".

Uh, Iraq? Afghanistan? Asylum seekers?
Not like Labor is much different though.
Uh, Iraq? Afghanistan? Asylum seekers?

We're not being drafted and conscripted. We don't care.
Asylum seekers? Most of Australia probably couldn't spell asylum. We don't care.
We don't have any reason to care about anything really.
No doubt about Labor of course.
I know, my point about Australian youth (esp. uni students) being apolitical.
We don't care. We got a bit of money, low crime, it's a great country in that regard.
Things aren't bad enough for most to care.
Haha, I never disagreed with you, but that's no reason to discount someone who could do a good job representing us (even if the majority of 'us' is apathetic to almost everything in the world).
True.
If he does't fuck up though, he could have a meteoric political career.
Pfft, you think gravity makes you it's bitch? Walk up to a wall (or crouch down on the floor), and push against it. Can you go through it? No! you know why?
Because you're ELECTROMAGNETISM'S BITCH!
The electrons in the atoms in your body are like, "LOL NO" to the electrons in the atoms in the floor/wall and repel each other, hence you can't go through the wall/floor. Gravity is weak! WEAK! Electromagnetism made you its bitch long before gravity did.
