What do you do for that? Like quadratic and paroblas? scuse my spelling, haven't done maths is ages.
Do you Victorians get the same thing in maths every year, just slightly more advanced?
What do you do for that? Like quadratic and paroblas? scuse my spelling, haven't done maths is ages.
Induction, circle geo, parametrics (p. much parabolas), application of calculus, 3d trig, etc...
Do you Victorians get the same thing in maths every year, just slightly more advanced?
thinking back to my maths exam there's like 9 categories for each of the 3 different levels of math, only 4 of which you've studied (your school picks the curriculum) but you've got the choice to do whatever you want. there are 3 levels of maths: Further, which is just general maths which isn't compulsory but most do, the simple stuff, geometry etc. Then Methods which is like quadratics and matricies and whatnot, and Specialist which is like calculus and the like pretty sure they rotate the questions each year or something
Has anyone been to Glenworth going there for camping early November :ohdear:
Also, to visual arts people, what did you do/are doing for your body of work?
I did this, http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1001981-My-drawings. for my body of work. It's still being marked so I don't know how I faired. Fuck, I changed my idea so much that in the last three weeks before it was due, I had about 2 hours sleep each night. And it was during my Trials too.

yeah sounds like it'd be the equivalent of Further -> Methods -> Specialist
is piss-throwing an actual sport
Oh yeah I did it yesterday. Ran out of piss so had to use... Other fluids...
Technically it's not an actual sport because there aren't any legitimate competitions, kind of similar to American stickball or British soccer riots.
I did advanced maths in the TPC (hsc equiv. for TAFE) I found alot of it to be really easy. But that was awhile ago.
The only thing i have heard of there is Parabolas, they must drop you in the deep end in year 11 or QLDs education system sucks
You know any calculus (differentiation, integration)? Like the dy/dx stuff? That's a big part of it. Circle geo is a revamp of the year 10 (i think) topic, it's just euclidean geo with circles. 3d trig is literally 3D trigonometry, exactly what it says on the box. Induction however, is a whole new thing, and it sucks ass.
in perf we have 1a 1c 2a 2c 3a 3d specialist basically they renamed everything and put a course before the jump to calculus cos fags couldn't handle it
You talking bout the sterotypical 'HEY BUDDA KAN I BLUDGE A DAAZA?' Abbos? Cause they're mainly the one's I meet or see. My tribe is full of them. Fucking petrol sniffing idiots.
Those ones I hate But to hate an entire race for a sterotype is fucking stupid Unaustralian mate, or the way I see it, the most Aussie thing to do as I see all my fucktard classmates assuming

I seriously don't want anything to do with abos. Well, not right now. Perhaps when I get older I might want to look it all up, but right now it doesn't appeal.
Also, to visual arts people, what did you do/are doing for your body of work?
I made the Sniper Rifle from TF2 out of shit laying around my house. I changed my idea so much, thats all i had time for.

VCE English exam on Thursday. So excited.
OH! And IT dudes, where did you study and for how long, and how much are you getting paid?
Workplace, worked at an IT office where they set up and maintain servers for companies.
I have Work Placement for IT in 3 weeks. [editline]26th October 2010[/editline] Got 96% in the end of preliminary exams :smug:
OH! And IT dudes, where did you study and for how long, and how much are you getting paid?
I'm starting my study next month for a Bachelor of Technology (Computing Studies) through Open Uni (mainly through RMIT).

I'm not sure if you're in Victoria, but you should have your folio work to back it up or else you're going to get a shitty mark.
Why are there so many IT guys on here? Where's the Engineering love?

Or if it's good enough to be in ArtExpress. But thank you :3:
