Anyone worked at Big W/ other Woolworths owned companies before? I had induction today, I want to know if I get to choose which department / position, to an extent.
I think anywhere is better than a fast food place, so I'd take it if I was you If I could get a job anywhere, it'd be JB HI FI you get a discount, and that'd be awesome for my music collection
Oh my god why didn't I think of that. Yeah any place but the fast foods.

Also what store? we just got a bunch of new nightfillers it could be my store o.O
I think anywhere is better than a fast food place, so I'd take it if I was you
I use to work at Coles, now work at KFC. I prefer KFC because it's so much more chill, you literally do nothing sometimes but sit around and talk. I guess it's just preference.
JB Hifi is always so packed and disorganised that it would be a bitch to stock the shelves or work the registers.
My friend works there and he likes it Plus for me the benefits outweigh the disadvantages [editline]30th October 2010[/editline]
I use to work at Coles, now work at KFC. yeah i need a job desperately for leavers but i'd rather drink goon and not eat anything than work in a fast food shop. I'm also up myself.
There's more to life than goon [sp]aw shit who am I kidding[/sp] Also what's all this UFc OnE shit teenagers are spouting? I grew up watching fucktards yelling it, what the hell does it mean?
Serious poster, is that you in there?
it is, new account for some reason [editline]30th October 2010[/editline]
btw im serious poster i changed accounts
see?
they're all evil and owned by like 3 dudes so don't buy into that shit
hes rated funny but its true. [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] yeah i figured i should probably post on my only 06 account that isn't banned, as its older and i might get gold member after a few thousand posts if thats how it works. Also it has a more subtle trolling name than seriousposter. Have you figured it out yet? (its not hard) [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] Theres a dude that works at my local woolworths who weighs about 200+kgs, is 5'11 and has a visible (massive) hump on his back. He's also only about 18, I don't know how all these weird people get interviews and I don't. I think I should put some spelling errors in my resume and replace gifted and talented programs with dropping out of tafe or some shit.
hes rated funny but its true.
Here's just a handful of australian publications owned by Rupert Murdoch:
Australia News Limited Metropolitan newspapers, magazines and news distribution channels National * The Australian including weekly insert magazine The Deal and monthly insert magazine (wish) [1] * The Weekend Australian including insert magazine The Weekend Australian Magazine [2] * Australian Associated Press (45%) * www.news.com.au National online news website New South Wales * The Daily Telegraph [3] * The Sunday Telegraph including insert magazine sundaymagazine [4] * mX (Sydney) [5] Victorian * Herald Sun [6] * Sunday Herald Sun including insert magazine sundaymagazine [7] * mX (Melbourne) [8] Queensland * The Courier-Mail including weekly insert magazine QWeekend [9] * The Sunday Mail [10] * Brisbane News [11] South Australia * The Advertiser including the monthly insert the Adelaide* magazine [12] * Sunday Mail [13] Western Australia * The Sunday Times [14] Tasmania * The Mercury [15] * The Sunday Tasmanian [16] Northern Territory * Northern Territory News [17] * Sunday Territorian [18]
he also owns 50% of the NRL, which is why the daily telegraph prints it on back and front of their paper
another thing to add is these papers display clear bias towards ruperts interests and at the moment the Australian is running a blatant hate campaign against the greens. They actually said in an editors letter that they feel its their responsibility to do so. Whether or not you like the green party you can't say that its right to ignore the principles of journalism (aka being unbiased) to push forward ideals. Protip to every Australian: Subscribe to the podcast or watch media watch. It's a great show and is often very funny.
I am so uninterested in politics it's not even funny
I am so uninterested in politics it's not even funny
agreed. in year 6 when we had to learn heaps on politics and even had to visit canberra, i found it so boring that i virtually blocked out any information regarding politics to enter my head. i know nothing about politics today, i don't know what the fuck political parties are, what democrats and republicans are, or anything else regarding politics. and i'm okay with this, because i don't give a fuck. u mad?
Australia Thread: Ignorant and proud of it
my roof is leaking too much rain
When I said I wanted the weather to change so I could go swimming this isn't what I meant.
Sunny one minute, overcast the next.

[editline]31st October 2010[/editline] I don't get the point of induction days. I got paid to sit and learn about common sense. The only things that really showed me anything was the 2 minute walk around the shop, and the discount card talk.
