Hey, dad and I did the exact same thing about this time last year as well. We went up on the roof, tore some tiles off, stuck the metal lining in place. Sorted it all out from the attic (metal lining and roof tiles). Then we built an evaporative cooling system there.

We should have done it sooner. It was build like a day or two AFTER the hottest day.

When the humidity gets high enough you simply turn the 'cooling' off and turn the fan/extractor on. It's a shit load less expensive than air conditioning too.
