It was surprisingly cool today, yet I can't do anything because I barely slept last night and can't even sleep now due to how much caffeine I have drank. Fuck it, I've still got a month to get better.

It was rather short, and consisted of her telling us she was being Sgt. Bitch today. Quite interesting really.

To anyone asking: no reported deaths (or even serious injuries) due to Yasi yet. Fucking incredible when you consider the sheer immensity of the system (both in size and wind speed). New structural guidelines that have been put in place after previously devastating cyclones seem to have saved a LOT of buildings (and potentially the lives of the people inside of them). That, on top of the amount of preparation that people went through in the run up to Yasi making landfall is probably what prevented this from being a disaster like Katrina.

I arrived at the beach, spent a lovely 5 minutes in the sun. Then it became overcast really quickly. And started raining in the next 5. Karma :saddowns:
