Not another one of these "Everything that kids watch nowadays is shit and everything from my childhood was awesome." threads.
Cartoon Network will now be showing shows that are not animated. This greatly saddens me, they used to be cartoons 24/7 when I was a kid and that is what I liked.
Kind of like Out of Jimmy's Head? God damn I hate that show.
No they cancelled all cartoon programming. It's so 1920's. Welcome to the 21st century where everything needs to be real.
I'm of the new generation, but I still prefer the old cartoons. I'll take stuff like The Pink Panther, Popeye the Sailorman, the older, late 90's episode of Spongebob, and the older Simpsons anyday.
Simpsons isn't old. [editline]10:03PM[/editline] Neither are the late 90's
I want my old good cartoons back!!!!! This, is cartoon. This however, is not.
Well done? A programme with real life people usually isn't a cartoon.
I love how the op is comparing a cartoon to a sitcom. Cartoons aren't dying. We grew up, and all the new cartoons are just terrible for us to watch. However, ask a kid about the show and he'll love it. The only good new cartoons is Chowder Misadventures of flapjack
Simpsons isn't old. [editline]10:03PM[/editline] Neither are the late 90's
The Simpsons started coming on the in the 80's, and I know the late 90's isn't old either, but I prefer some of those cartoons, and all the new crappy shows they shit out, it might as well be old cause it seems like it's been 10 times longer.

I never realised how many twelve year olds are on fp...
I still blame their parents for not fucking hitting their children. I miss when kids actually were nice. h8 2000+
Samurai Jack > *
Christmas 1989
pretty close to 1990. My bad. I thought it came out earlier than that.
DAMN RIGHT NIGGAa
There's a major lack of hand drawn cartoons now. Classics like this.
wow i believe i just had some sort of seizure from all this nostalgia [editline]10:27PM[/editline]
Kind of like Out of Jimmy's Head? [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/Imagehosting/pics/552f7de08c878bec5fc6f0756d283a65.jpg[/img_thumb] God damn I hate that show.
that show failed so hard it never made it past 8 episodes when cartoon network asked for 20
Out of Jimmy's Head sucked. No wonder it only had 8 episodes.
I blame Anime/Manga.
Interestingly enough, anime and manga are utterly destroying cartoons in terms of quality now. If you seriously think 6Teen and Hannah Montana are better than Cowboy Bebop, you should be shot. Hilarious thing is, my absolute favorite old cartoon was actually a mangled clusterfuck of three anime series. Robotech was, and always will be, beyond fucking awesome.
Good cartoons have been dead since Hey Arnold! stopped being played on tv.
Steamboat willie is boss. Wish they still had the old cartoons though.
Some pervert thought steamboat willie was a penis.
I R Baboon and I am weasel was cool, i loved Samurai Jack [editline]04:04PM[/editline] and one of my most favorite cartoons was oh god i nostalgia'd
I haven't seen that cat for at least a decade. Nostalgia! How many shows that are animated that aren't drama are actually still produced for CN?
I think Nostalgia Critic put it best when he reviewed Pokemon.
never watched Pokemon and I'm glad I never did! We had GOOD shows in our day, like the mutant reptiles who ate pizza and practiced ninjit...su...o-or the one about the chipmunks who got together and got their own rock...band...going...o-or the one about the bears who...made people feel better by...shooting hearts out of their...stomachs...
Bottom line. Nostalgia is a liar and a fucking thief.
God-fucking-damnit i miss Johnny Bravo and yes Johnny Test sucks. So does bakugan. What the fuck is up with all those pokemon ripoffs? When bakugan came out it was the new "Cool" thing at my school. I FUCKING HATED IT.
I miss Tom & Jerry, Inspector gadget, Pinky and the Brain. Man I could go on about all the classic saturday morning cartoons I miss.
A lot of these wants for old cartoons can be satisfied with Boomerang. If you want them enough you'll be willing to get the channel.
I agree, most (if not all) cartoons now are based on "random" humour rather than stuff that is actually funny or intelligent
I miss Innuendos they had in the 90s :frown:

Ed,edd and eddy and hey arnold are made of pure epic win. Kids still watch this new crap because its all they have and what they're used too, once they started to change to this new style, children were forced to adapt or have nothing to watch. Now they don't like the good stuff because they didn't grow with it.

I don't see the point in it. And I think we could do without it but the Clone Wars series isn't bad. It's not good. It's not bad.
