Quick question, I recently did this pic of an owl with a Japanese Kanji for Wisdom behind it and I applied a blur effect.
I'm not sure which is better. Thoughts?

Blur looks tacky
the blur doesn't look right. maybe if only the owl looked a little blurred it be like it was moving.

Yeah, I'm considering trying that as well, but it would take a while because I would have to cut the Kanji away from the Owl. All the inks are on the same layer.
the circle is clipped on the side which makes both of them look terrible. fix that.
