I usually write in caps with a mix of lowercase letters to keep the flow of speed consistent. I haven't written in cursive in years and still don't understand how the cursive z looks like a z at all.
Holy shit this is exactly how we were thaught cursive in elementary school :v: I never wrote anything else than cursive, not joining all the letters is so fucking slow for me :suicide:

A few years ago I decided I want to change my handwriting, as it looked like utter crap. I wanted to mix aesthetics with efficiency, so I started connecting letters only when it made writing quicker while still looking neat. From top to bottom: print I use for headlines, titles, note headers, etc.; normal writing I talked about above; my try at cursive (I don't use it a lot) [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/fOKPV.jpg[/thumb]
So, I was bored and attempted to render the only thing I knew how to write from memory in arabic in pseudo-calligraphy. How to tell you my name. [t]http://i.imgur.com/U0GbQ.jpg[/t]
Here's an example of mine. I write quite small which helped a lot during note taking and such.

My handwriting is terrible, and it doesn't help that it's more like 5 shapes with variations than 26 letters
We related?
Haha it may be possible :v:
Looks like something from elementary school EDIT: I think I write differently depending on the situation, but the top one in the picture below is probably the most common one The quote is from Reservoir Dogs (I seriously don't know what kind of example I ought to use)
I don't handwrite in traditional English much, wherever possible I write in clawrite, it's much faster and less painful for left-handed people. The only time I handwrite in English is when it's an official document, application or signature.

Also been learning to write arabic, but it's funny because my written arabic reminds me more of Ge'ez than anything else. But yeah, his orations against Catilina contains such historical gold as "Quo usque tandem abutere, Catilina, patientia nostra? Quam diu etiam furor iste tuus nos eludet? Quem ad finem sese effrenata iactabit audacia?" (Which basically is a big way of saying "The cheek of him!"), and "O tempora, o mores!" (Oh the times, and the ways of today!)
arabic looks so fuckin cool
It is a beautiful, very structured, and logical language. I wish I could understand it - My professor is a native speaker and it is really cool.
LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIIIIIIIN LET'S LEARN TO HANDWRITE AGAIIIIIN I can't be the only one who noticed this upon reading the title. Anywho, on topic... (This was from a different thread a while back, post your handwriting or something) J, Z, W, and a few other select letters are a pain to write. They always look horrible when I try to write them. X's sometimes come out as y's because my hand stops too short, as you can see in the picture. Otherwise, typing for most of my life due to home schooling online, I don't think I'm that far off. Could be better. However, I have completely forgotten cursive. I only know how to write my first and last name, and my middle initial. Another issue is that the longer I write, the worse off my handwriting gets. You can read a paper I wrote and actually see my writing degrade as it goes along. Mostly because the pain in my hand is slowly increasing to excruciating levels...
It is a beautiful, very structured, and logical language. I wish I could understand it - My professor is a native speaker and it is really cool.
It's kinda ugly when spoken, to me at least. I just want to learn it for cultural exchange purposes. I feel like there's this barrier that isolates the arabic speaking world from the rest of the globalised world.
