A sapient animal cannot comprehend sentience. What is this "consciousness"? I know I have it. I see people acting like the have it. I know there are thins we cannot perceive with our natural senses, like non-visible light, inaudible sounds, etc. I don't know what's going on in my house when I close the door, I can just assume.

Are the members on this website human? Is the internet simply a game? An illusion? Is the screen your looking at emanating light? Senses are fallible; nothing is definite.

The common perception between the "others" and your consciousness works well though. You're still alive, you feel loved, you can feel pain, and pain gives pleasure purpose. You can feel things, for whatever that's worth.
