Only on a few cars if they're modified in the right way to compliment it. Round here there are fucking loads of "euro'd" VW Polos, which means some chav have bought some cheap as shit Wolfrace rims, took a stillsaw to his springs and dropped the car, giving his arches a good brush over every bump, fucking breadbins, they look shit.

14$
And i'm a original G60 backbumper in good condition richer...
Not fair
Over here in euro our car insurance costs almost twice as much as a normal car
"normal" as in a slow 1.4 Opel astra or Vw golf or something worse
I come in the thread and see 17 year old guys with Muscle cars and Mustangs
God damn
right i am going to stop this argument, we obviously have cultural differences. it might be accepted in america, but not here.
It's perfectly accepted here as well. As soon as there's a slight bit of snow coming down everyones turning on their foglights. And they don't blind at all when they're actually aimed right which they have to be or you'll most likely fail your TÜV anyway.

Never wanted one of those anyway, even when i was younger. Never saw the appeal in stiff suspensions and shit flying around the cabin because you like to pretend you're in a race.

the average insurance cost for young drivers here is probably $150-$200/mo. it depends on what car they have, coverage, driving record, etc.
mine is $150 for a hyundai elantra :saddowns:

I have to do a lot of highway driving now and then to get to friend's cabins, camping, road trip etcetera and not having power on the highway is absolutely painful for me atleast.
Anyway the R/T w/ R/T suspension is a great comprimise between comfort and performance. It has the self-leveling rears too. It won't match up to the SRT8 level on the track though. I'm never one to take hard turns though, my friends scare the shit out of me when they do that.
everyone post their monthly insurance rate
$ 53. But as far as they know, my mom owns the car, and it's 100% stock.
If I registered it as my own, it'd be along the lines of $ 300 a month.

I think i have well enough power under my hood for quick overtaking and i'm probably usually going faster than you as well with this whole Autobahn thing we got here.
Also my insurance should be somewhere around 90€ ~$120

do you have comprehensive and collision
I have full insurance on my wagovan for 90$ a month. a lot of coverage on my pathfinder for 80$ a month. Minimum stuff on my Toyota for 60$ a month.
everyone post their monthly insurance rate
£220 per month, fully comprehensive.
20 years old, 2 years no claims bonus, 3 points for speeding.
Insuring a 2.2 Honda Prelude:

Would be higher as I wrote my old car off last year but "forgot" to mention it to the insurance and decided to just buy my Lude without getting them involved. Was also fairly difficult to get insurance for my car, many companies required experience on a similarly powered car in order to insure me. Ended up getting insured through Adrian Flux, great insurers and good prices, worth a look for your next renewal.

How good are adrian flux's prices compared to other companies? I've never really heard of them. Is the service any good?

I'd be broke if my insurance was that much
do you have comprehensive and collision
My insurance only covers the other drivers. Ive always been the type not to be extremely up tight on my vehicles. If I get in a collision, my insurance covers the other driver, and I fix my own car. If I cant: I sell it and buy a different one. v:v:v

They specialise in performance and import cars, they are pretty well known within the industry. Their service is second to none, great customer service and for your premium they'll throw in the lot, courtesy car, windscreen cover, 3rd party insurance driving anywhere in Europe, free legal cover. With regards to price, it depends what you're trying to insure... They might not be the cheapest if you're trying to insure a Vauxhall Corsa or any other average car but they were considerably cheaper (about 25%) than any others when I was insuring my car. They also do a lot of deals too, they were offering 15% off for Honda Prelude owners club members and do for many other owners clubs so keep your eyes out.
Sky insurance is another good company to try, they were cheapest previous to Adrian Flux by quite a lot compared to the others.

Try that with at least £200 a month petrol thrown in too ;)
To be fair, that price is no worse than a 17 year old new driver trying to insure their first car.

when do you think I should stop paying for comprehensive/collision? right now my car's private party value is like $4,800.
Try that with at least £200 a month petrol thrown in too ;)
if I was in Britain then I'd just ride my bicycle, get a scooter, or use public transportation
fuck paying that much for a car and gas

I pay $100 for insurance and ~$50 for gas per month

It's a joke! No wonder so many people drive without insurance. The biggest culprit for our higher insurance price is you Americans I'm afriad, well not directly. But your sueing culture has reached the UK and now everyone who's involved in a crash will claim they have whiplash and sue for at least £2000 which is paid by insurance companies and unfortunatley these costs have gotta be recovered by charging such high premiums. It's so common, I know 2 friends who have put in a bogus claim and received the money no questions asked!
I fucking hate these parasite, ambulance chasing personal injury solicitors, they are costing the UK a fortune!
my car's trade in value is only ~$3,100, and its private party value is ~$4,700
is it even worth having comprehensive and collision?
