Holy shit how did I forget. A couple of times I've heard from people that there was a black Mitsu Evo cop car in my city but I didn't really believe them. Then my best friend calls me up and tells me he just passed the evo. I was surprised but didn't think much of it. So about an hour later I go to get something to eat and on my way back, I drove by a church that was letting out. It's a big church so cops alaways direct traffic. There's two exits, I drive by the first, your average crown vic, but the second car looked like it had HIDs or something. I drive by and HOLY MOTHERFUCKIMN SHIT it was a Evo 8/9 with like a motherfucking dragon on the side and a lightbar or something. I think it was a D.A.R.E. car that was like impounded from a street racer or something. for you foreigners who don't know what D.A.R.E. is, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_Abuse_Resistance_Education#DARE_Car Example

Goddamn fuck balls that was annoying. I went to get something to eat (like always) and the roads were damp from a rain earlier. If I jump on it even the slightest in 1st-3rd I get wheelspin which is always fun. But then I do it and hold it for about 4 seconds and then when I let off the rpms drop and the accelerator does nothing. So then I'm like O SHIT O SHIT O SHIT, hazards go on, limp my way into a parking lot and pop my hood, throttle cable popped off the bracket. Put it back on, like an idiot, jump on it again, thankfully there was a second entrance to the same parking lot, put it back on, drive carefully, then shift into third and then nothing in the accelerator, floor it and get a little bit. top out at like 40 in a 55 zone i got home eventually though, stall out twice, first at my gate then at a stop sign.
Probably to catch really fast criminals. Like, the CHP used Ford Mustangs for a long time. [img_thumb]http://blog.niot.net/blog-images/26_may/for-sale-of-the-day-1982-chp-mustang.jpg[/img_thumb] Also, Lamborghini donated those Gallardos to the Italian cops.
I have all the parts from a cop mustang to put in mine :D Rollbar, speedometer, etc.
does anyone else hate driving in the rain because it gets their car all dirty? also, post tips for saving gas. 1) follow the speed limit
does anyone else hate driving in the rain because it gets their car all dirty? also, post tips for saving gas. 1) follow the speed limit
It all depends on how much you accelerate really. I tested that a few months ago. Same speed routine (usually 5 over) with easy acceleration I averaged 16.3 mpg. Same speed but with a little harder acceleration to get to those speeds I got 15.9 Then again it takes a lot to get a 4,700 lb truck going.
A car almost hit me on the interstate today. It's a two lane interstate, and I was in the right lane going 65-70 mph. There was also a car in the left lane a little ahead of me. I saw a really fast car in my mirror coming up in the left lane. He was probably going 80mph when he cut me off. I swear his car was less than a foot from mine. That's what I do but it takes a lot on top of that to get all that weight up to speed.
That's what I do but it takes a lot on top of that to get all that weight up to speed.
yeah I can imagine. my car weighs 2636 pounds, and it's a bitch to get up to speed from a stand still. the only thing I don't like about my car is the lack of power. it's got a 2.0L engine and ~135 horsepower.
does anyone else hate driving in the rain because it gets their car all dirty? also, post tips for saving gas. 1) follow the speed limit
You obviously never drive in a salty area. Rain washes all that shit off. Also, for a gas saving tip: On a hill, put your car in neutral and shut off the engine, then turn the key back to the on position. Start the engine again when your deceleration gets close to the speed limit so you don't get too slow.

If the car is manual just leave it in a lower gear and let it engine brake because the engine doesn't use gas when decelerating. This also works if you have the ability to select gears in an automatic.
<nevermind>
uhh, I live in florida there's probably plenty of salt here.
Road salt.
Road salt.
nevermind then. I didn't know that they used salt to melt ice on the roads.

Good if it is in drive or reverse...An alternative is just to take it out of gear, put the vehicle in neutral. Doesn't have to be a huge hill, just a slight one and it will keep you at the speed limit. [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] I am currently uploading the video i talked about earlier; The stickypod-mini was surpsingly not as stable as i thought it would be...I have an idea to fix it but it's already night so. Soon as it is finished i will throw it up for you guys. Funny shit to watch.
clutch pedal interlocks are annoying. glad my car doesn't have one. only messed up twice. both times because someone else left my car in first when parked. POLL TIME Who leaves there car in gear when they park it? I don't, neutral for me so it can idle for the turbo.
POLL TIME Who leaves there car in gear when they park it? Mine is automatic so i have my trusty park gear :D However i don't have a parking break (handbreak, but a pedal on the floor near the door), the cable that leads to the back tires is snapped in half. Pedal still works though.
ugh, automatic park gear. i remember when i parked on a hill one time and just put in park. had to have like 3 guys push the rear of the suv so i could get it out of park. car rolled back on to the pawl and put so much weight it couldn't come off. started using parking brake after that.

I have an automatic, and I've never used the parking brake never had any issues
I have an automatic, and I've never used the parking brake never had any issues
How often do you park on extreme slopes? What year is your vehicle?
