well the only times you're really going to come across hill steep enough for that to happen in florida is driveways of neighborhoods with really crappy/lazy planners.
How often do you park on extreme slopes? What year is your vehicle?
my car was parked in my driveway for like a year, and it's at an incline. and all our other cars have parked in the driveway too without any issues.
2003
I'm not talking about a slight incline like a driveway though, I'm talking about roads that are so steep you sort of start to stumble as you walk down it, roads that are hard to walk up because they are really steep.
And I'm pretty sure it's only the older vehicles that do it, my previous vehicle never had any problems but my current one does, so..
yeah guys i don't see what the big deal is, i park on this erryday

Part of the parking lot at my school is legitimately sloped like this, maybe not as severe but pretty damn close, which is the only reason i started talking about it...However i don't park there anymore, i would spin tires when i went to back out and when it snowed the cars would slide forward as it melted...

I don't, neutral for me so it can idle for the turbo.
93% Uploaded, the stickypod mini wasn't as great as i thought it would be so the picture shook throughout but then again my truck DOES have a really rough ride. Anyways, It'll be done momentarily.
[editline]12th December 2010[/editline]
I also got a nice rev in at the end if you don't want to sit through the entire 13 minutes. But i do gun it getting on the freeway so that could be a part you want to watch, too.
[editline]12th December 2010[/editline]
The video is also in full 1080p, how do i get that into the media tags instead of the default 360p?

I added an annotation at the beginning but incase you can't see it, it says something along the lines of i needed to clip a part of the video out to make it shorter, and when i saved it i fucked up the aspect ratio...I may upload the full version later, it looks much better and is a higher quality, the raw video file.
Turning the car off while driving is never a good idea. If the car is manual just leave it in a lower gear and let it engine brake because the engine doesn't use gas when decelerating. This also works if you have the ability to select gears in an automatic.
this, my wideband goes full lean under engine braking and the injector duty goes to 0%, turning off your engine sounds dumb
Also, for a gas saving tip: On a hill, put your car in neutral and shut off the engine, then turn the key back to the on position. Start the engine again when your deceleration gets close to the speed limit so you don't get too slow.
This is crazy. With the engine off won't you lose your power steering and brake pressure? I mean they'll still work but without any of the pumps going I wouldn't want to be trying to control a vehicle barrelling down a hill.

Are you sure? I would figure that since the car is pulling the engine faster than idle, it would be sucking air through, and bringing fuel with it?

This is the worst idea ever. Many later model cars won't even start if in neutral
Here's a gas saving tip that actually works: Keep your tires a few PSI over what's recommended for your car.
Underinflated tires hurt your gas mileage, A LOT. My tires lost air over time (went to 3-4psi under recommended) and when I put them 3-4psi over recommended, I gained around 5mpg.
im gonna do that ^

here is a more sensible tip: take your tyres off and drive on rims

Hmmm nice truck. Do you have an exhaust on it or is it stock beca....WHOA Just got to 3:40 very nice sound...because it sounds kind of rough. Also is it diesel or a gas engine? Sorry for my lack of truck knowledge.
Here is a video I shot a while back...not very interesting but it gives you an idea of what the car sounded like straight-piped. TURN YOUR SPEAKERS DOWN BEFORE WATCHING. The Cicadas at the beginning are loud as hell, once I start the car though it dies down.

It's a gas engine, 5.7 Lr 350 V8. Exhaust is true dual all the way back from the headers, has two cats and two Shorty Mufflers. I was thinking of replacing them with Cherrybomb Glasspacks for $20 a piece, but I'm not sure if that would be TOO loud. Yours straight piped sounds sick, but if i straight piped mine it would be unbearable and it wouldn't surprise me if i got a few tickets, too...
Hey, why did dodge call the dodge neon a neon.

Man 2 cats and 2 mufflers? That seems pretty restrictive. The Cherrybomb's tend to be REALLY loud, but they really bring out a nice sound. Also ya I am surprised at how reformed a straight piped WRX sounds, but when you lay on the throttle past about 4k RPM the sound is pretty much a gush of wind and a unbearable screaming mess, but it sounds mean. YOur V8 straight piped though...would be an absolute loud mess under load. Would sound good at low RPM's though.

yeeeeeeah no
many people believe that but it isn't true
it just use very very little fuel
so it doesn't stall
What would be a good daily driver car that is under 1975 (year)
I was thinking of a '74 charger or dart but I'm wondering if you know anything.
Don't try and argue that old cars are shit blah blah. I've made up my mind and this is what I want, I'm not getting anything elce.
old beetle :buddy:
except during winter
just found out that in 1994 my dad was hoping to buy a cobra instead of a GT but they hadn't started making cobras yet and they told my dad that ford wasn't making any cobras ): ): ):
they only had 10hp more but it would have been cool to have a cobra
