does anyone wanna buy a whistler xtr-695se radar detector? I'll sell mine if the price is right
If only I had my old car. I needed one for that one. But sadly my jeep can't go fast enough to need one :(
My go fast tubes in my ethnic car [img_thumb]http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b340/clutch1234/DSC01007.jpg[/img_thumb]
Wow Didn't know Auroras Came with L36s (3800 series IIs).
Congratulations Car Thread! After reading your comments about him ricing out his car, my friend Justin decided not to rice out his Honda Civic. He's gonna save up his money for a newer car (He's driving a 1990 Honda Civic LX).
Yay! I can go to bed feeling accomplished now.
Indeed, I am quite happy now. Although, his autoshop teacher saw the dent in his front panel and was like "I can fix it!" so he grinded the paint off the dent, stuck four nails in it, pulled the dent out a little, then painted it brown. My friend had to repaint it black with spray paint. It doesn't match bad because it's not a huge area and the door doesn't sqeak now but now the dent is only slightly smaller and it has some bumps from where the nails were pulled. :/
The 2011 Sonata kicks the shit out of the Malibu/Impala. Direct-injected base model, turbo GDI option, plus active Eco system that modifies timing and shift points for economy or performance. Even comes with a hens-teeth-rare manual trans option.
Too bad that if you want the manual, you will have to go with the lowest model, even the Sport model does not have the option for manual.
Sad that I can probably rebuild an engine, but I don't know where the fuck to start for buying a Sub for my car :(
Sad that I can probably rebuild an engine, but I don't know where the fuck to start for buying a Sub for my car :(
Crutchfield has a lot of good guides for fit and such.
Count me in on this. I've got an '85 F150, 275,000 miles, 4.9L I6, overdrive 4-speed 4x2. Best vehicle I've ever driven and I wouldn't get rid of it for anything. Not even a Ferarri. It's got everything I want in a daily driver. It's comfortable, it has a manual transmission, it's reliable as hell, simple to work on, durable, plenty of cargo space, not stymied by an inch of snow, parts cost next to nothing, good visibility, easy to park, and it can handle any sort of load a typical homeowner will ever need to haul. I do desperately need to restore it though. It does feel every single one of those miles, and I think about three of them were done gently. As for pictures, right now I'm tethering on my droid and I can't be assed to wait that long. So instead you can view them on a resto log I started on another forum. Yoiu can also see all the work I've put into it since I bought it four years and 75,000 miles ago. Not bad for only 500 bucks, eh?
snow is everywhere yay
update on suzuki: dad got all parts, now just a hell of alot welding and assembling and probably a coat of paint and it's done :buddy:
Buy decent sub, build your own box. Make it fit flush in the boot so it looks stock and you will be on your way.
subs never look stock no matter what...
snow is everywhere yay
don't say that. why would you say yay? that's just silly
things to do: order paint for windshield wipers, get new hub caps or rims, change oil, oil filter, and air filter in ~800 miles, flush radiator fluid cost: ~$200
subs never look stock no matter what...
Quite easily done:
Thats exactly what I plan on doing (Picture Sam posted). Lots of room for a 10" behind my wheel well, gonna Make a Fibreglass box with a plywood front. Also makes it harder to steal IMO.
Wow Didn't know Auroras Came with L36s (3800 series IIs).
They don't, just the 4.0L baby Northstar in the Aurora Classic , this is in the Park Ave :
just raced an rx7 during my milk run i was sitting at the gas station exit and saw the intersection a little further down and had a feeling i should wait, about 15 seconds later i heard turbo spool, wheel spin and then BOV and it flys past me. So i pull out of the station and pull though all the gears, hit like 110 to catch up. he ignores me a bit, i let off a bit and then give a lil throttle and release for the BOV, i think he looked over, then downshifted. As soon as he gets into gear i downshift to third and hit it. i kept up but it sounded like his ignition was breaking up. tghe last time i saw him it looked like he was burning coolant too. but still, my little ~240hp s13 vs a rx7. atleast i kept up. also, tomorrow im going to a toys for tots dyno day and getting a free dyno run. official chart incoming
