I'm contemplating getting a MKIII Supra instead of a MKIV. It'll have the swap (2j twin), but I can keep my money in the bank for something better later on. And I can get enough money within the year for the MKIII
Jesus christ, I forgot how bad my moms ZJ knocked. Sounds like some one threw a hammer in the motor.
Wow. Someone put a fucking dent into the side of my car today while I was parked in the lot. My soul dies a little every time I see a ugly ass knot in my side door panels.
1 1/2 years of a perfect dent free car, and then this.
Any of you guys know an easy way of removing dents?

Depends on where it is, size, etc. but if you can get to it from the inside, you might be able to take a block of wood and a hammer and pound it out.

Ya front right door panel, and it is about 1.5 inches in diameter.
so today i accidentally drove into a lancer/evo meet
Somebody find me a car in Rhode Island for 1 grand or under that isn't going to shit out in a month.
Bought a $500 car in Canada (We have significantly higher car prices here) that's been running fine for months. Guy before me had it running fine for months. However, I do admit that once I get the chance, I'm ditching it for a new(er) car.
Honda NSXs are between 10 and 20 thousand, and they're already very fast Hondas. Also, they're MR, so you don't have to worry about torquesteer or overpowering your steering wheels. I'd love to have one myself, even stock they're very brilliant cars. Of course being a Honda they're also very efficient when you aren't driving them right and they'll last forever.
I've put 75,000 miles on that thing and I've never once had it just die on me. It did once shut off on my mom, but that was a simple little 15 dollar part that took 10 minutes to replace, and is a known high failure part on any EEC-IV Ford with a distributor.
Wow, that's nice. Use 'em. That's the first good looking trans am I've seen in quite a while.
My landlord's son has an Acura NSX. Still has Casette Player, push-button start. He keeps it waxed constantly, looks fresh off the assembly line every time I see it. It used to have silver rims but he replaced the rims to be black. It looks sick, but he's driving his truck now, presumably because of the winter weather.

I looked at four other vehicles in that price range and it was the only one that didn't break down or scare me during the test drives. Also it's gauges read good, both then and now.

Lucky bastard. I just hope it has not been babied. NSXs were built to carve corners.

A 4.0L or some shitty Chrysler V6?
Wow. Someone put a fucking dent into the side of my car today while I was parked in the lot. My soul dies a little every time I see a ugly ass knot in my side door panels.

The 4.0L I6
maybe a professor at a university teaching aerospace engineering?
I don't see how that would let him afford a F430, Corvette, and Cayenne.
none of this makes any sense
...
First thing I said was the average price of them. Then I mentioned they were already fast to begin with. Then I mentioned they're mid engine, rear wheel drive, so you won't have any failwheeldrive fail when you get around to beefing the engine up. Then I mentioned that I'd love to have one too.
What's not to understand? It's not like I'm going over the operational theory of the fuel injection system here...
also wtf why do i want a caterham how am i meant to troll lancer kids with that
Lancer kids need computers and enormous turbos to go fast. They also think that the Lancer is the best car ever built and it'd outrun damn near anything.
Caterhams have none of that, yet they can outrun Lancers with ease.
The 4.0L I6
Getting one of those to knock takes some doing. And lots of miles.

Ya I have a friend who has a EVO X that is fast as hell. 500 HP, suspension upgrades, and everything else. He boosts 32 PSI out of his turbo. I think he runs around 10 second quarters.
He also has a twin turbo supra, and a 2009 Black BMW 325i lowered, black rims, and an up-swept quad exhaust in the back. It is sick.
Damn you Honda and your four wheel steering!
Has made my car almost undrivable in any snow or ice, navigating corners and as the rear wheels turn with the front the car goes into a 4 wheel drift, having to take roundabouts and corners at walking pace and pissing other road users off.
Ah well!

it makes no sense because they're slow for practically being a supercar, being mr has nothing to do with "overpowering your steering wheels", ff cars don't torque steer because they're FF, they do because most are built shitty
also caterham what the fuck does some random euro kit car have anything to do with lancer meets
oh right electronics and turbos are just ricer gear

Ya there is a whole lot of 100k+ cars even at the University of Calgary, but I'd rather buy a nice house then blow it all on a car. My parents hate spending money on cars and the only really expensive car we bought was the M.
I'd love a car that looks like this visually, but has modern safety, and luxury features while still maintaining the 50's look on the inside.

Welp, I finally got a camera so I can take pictures of stuff I see, rather than posting images off Google. Wish I had it when I saw a pristine Bel-Air here. It was beautiful like the one in that video.

Edit: Check out the sweet velcro cupholder I got. :smug:
that would be awesome, pre muscle car era is amazing...

I've never seen a set of stock gauges that I've liked more than mine, they all look weird to me.
Here's my gauges:

(187003 miles)
That guy that did the Bel Air video also did this Raptor SVT video.
Hmm First clue should have been that the Aurora Is RWD, and wouldn't have a 3800 and a 4T60-E. O well lol.
Why can't GM do anything simple any more? So my washer pumps fucked. Replace it, and NOW i have 0Volts @ the harness. Get me a schematic, and surprise surprise The fuckin Computer controls the washer pump relay. Why do you a switch going to a computer relay, to control another fucking relay? No wonder shit don't work.
The Auroras are all FWD ;)
Got a lot crammed in there

2011 F150`s have a 3.5 twin turbo engine, 365 hp, fuck yeah. That`s 5 more hp than their 5.0 v8 and claimed to be 5% more efficient
Holy shit, Hands Free commands that actually work. If you were to say XM-9 in my dads Acura, it would try to put Red Lobster on the GPS.

Not a big fan of VW's, but yours looks pretty good.
On another note, I think driver's ed programs need to teach people how to drive in snow. I have heard of at least 15 accidents locally, and the season just started.
