I've heard of flatfoot shifting tons of times, but I never thought to how it would work? Can you really just keep you foot planted and it knows when the clutch is disengaged or something?
When you clutch in it fuel cuts to lower the revs and since you have your foot down the throttle plate is kept open and you never blow off, so you maintain boost throughout the shift. [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] and stuff [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] it sounds cool
A supercharger or turbo for me would cost 6K just for the parts and another 4k for install and get my compression decreased.
Try 2-4 with another 500-1000 for the tune. [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] And by tune I mean dyno'd and tuned by a professional. If you go that route.
What about 200hp out of a four banger?
somehow, I knew you would post a video of that v:v:v and I meant with his 200hp 4banger being n/a and having such a huge increase in performance with bolt ons etc. [editline]31st October 2010[/editline]
Try 2-4 with another 500-1000 for the tune. My buddys brother had a Civic he put a turbo(small one made for a stock non si motor) in, and he promptly blew the clutch and then soon after the trans. He then put it in his buddys shop where it sat for 3 months because he paid his buddy to get a new transmission in it, but ended up buying another blown transmission with his money. :v: Last I heard he fixed it up properly, lowered it and now it makes around 300hp after pulling out his massive stereo. Edit: I'm pretty sure he swapped an si motor and trans in.
im afraid I might need a new clutch since I keep practicing launching should I do it myself?
If you want to deal with getting the Transmission out of the way by yourself, I've personally never done it but from what I've heard it's a pain in the ass.

I just love it Like that. White roof and doors and the rest plain black
Gotta love tow bars! Was sat stationary in traffic yesterday. Passanger in my friend's new car (VW Golf GTI). We'd been taking the piss out of him because the previous owner left the tow bar on and my friend has "chavved it up" but still not got round to taking the tow bar off yet. Anyways, some goon in a Pug 206 who wasn't paying attention rear ended us at a set of traffic lights. He admitted liability, we got him to sign a declaration (written on post-it notes lol) stating he admit liability and they swapped details. So that was sorted, my friend will claim off his and accept 0% liabilty, not affecting his policy. Damage to my friend's car was virtually non-existant, possibly the rear subframe will be bent a little due to the impact but the tow bar impaled the pug's grill and radiator and looked to have pushed the engine back an inch or 2 in it's mounts. A definite write off, a landrover had to tow the Peugeot to remove it from my friend's car. I'll try and get the pics from him later and post them on here. Was seriously lucky that he had the tow bar attached to the car though.
my dad but lights on his rms and it makes th ecar look fast (User was banned for this post ("Spam" - SteveUK))
supercharger would cost a lot more than a turbo but apparently I'm behind on turbo pricing, these days somehow 3 grand is not enough for a decent turbo?
Oh yea, but I can still find a cheap supercharger kit for under 4000. Kenne Bells range from 3-8 g's. But god damn is it worth it.

What's the point of that kind of window tinting?
i haven't the slightest clue
What's the point of that kind of window tinting?
Stops the sun's glare sometimes.

I'm assuming the big SMS supercharger would be up there with the Kenne Bell.
post your battle stations guise [img_thumb]http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii315/edberggonzalez/pictures/th_IMG_1143.jpg[/img_thumb] [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] oh yeah I bought some stuff, most important one being a cobb accessport, I have a tune now lol also launch control/flatfoot shifting, watch the boost build from a stop and stay up even through shifts next up is maddad whisper catback and a downpipe I haven't decided on yet, followed by a vf39 turbo, new TMIC, uppipe, and then meth injection if I still want more power it's all coming together now :v
I bet you two-step every vacant stop sign intersection now. I know I do. Something's weird about yours though, it sounds very soft. Probably your stock exhaust but mine has a crisper "pop" to it. I haven't done No Lift To Shift in my car yet but I want to sooner or later. My friend did it in his GSX and from his house I could hear him out on the main road, sounded so fucking cool, but he has a dumped wastegate too. cockpit: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/623593/Cockpit.jpg[/img_thumb] I need a night one. I have some videos though if you check my utubs.
I've heard of flatfoot shifting tons of times, but I never thought to how it would work? Can you really just keep you foot planted and it knows when the clutch is disengaged or something?
There's a switch at the top of the clutch pedal that tells the ECU if the pedal is down or not. You know how the car won't start if you don't have the clutch pressed in.
im afraid I might need a new clutch since I keep practicing launching should I do it myself?
I've done TONS of launches on my stock clutch and it still feels pretty good. Just don't do them back to back, heat is the number one killer of anything. I'd do the clutch job yourself though, it's not that hard and you really get to know your car.
P2 wins
That was pretty cool. I think he got the wastegate mixed up with compressor surge though. :/

I really want a house just like that with a big 3 car garage! Also that truck is a beast.
Hey guys check this shit out. Its a 1970 Mach one Mustang that I have been building for the past couple weeks. I just painted the body yesterday with Duplicolor automotive paint. About 5 coats of paint, and alot of clear. All of the decals are painted over with clearcoat so they will stay on forever. Sure was a bitch painting the grill and the wheels with a toothpick to get everything right lol. I am fucking impressed, this is the first model I have built in years, and the only one I have built worth displaying. The paint looks fucking amazing in the sun! Whats the verdict? That's awesome.
I love doing airfix sets, never done a car though, maybe one day.
Thanks! I enjoy building models myself because you can build them however you want, colors, certain parts etc. I left the spoiler off, and put on the Boss front grill and wheels because I like them better than the Mach ones. Pretty much If I could have a 70 stang, this is exactly the way I would want it lol
I've got a Honda S600 plastic model that I need to put together. I bought it for myself last year but never got round to putting it together. A bit like this:

Once I get a turboback exhaust/uppipe it will sound mean as hell, I mean flame spewing during the shifts mean. Oh and massive amounts of power too [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] also stock organic clutches are great since they always return back to normal when you overheat them, fuck around until it slips then take a 15min break, should be back to normal i think they are only rated to 300tq though
