What does me driving have to do with anything? I live in the centre of a big city, why do I need to drive? And that doesn't negate the fact American cars are not healthy for the environment. [editline]21st October 2010[/editline]
Oh look, an un-backed biased opinion.
http://www.marketingcharts.com/topics/asia-pacific/us-last-among-major-countries-in-car-fuel-economy-standards-1141/

Americans have made some economical vehicles. For instance, The Dodge Ram Cummins 1st gen and 2nd gen (with the 12 valve) weighed about 7500lbs and got 30mpg. Ford Rangers and Chevy S10's get 30mpg as well. Gas is a lot cheaper over here than Europe, so we can afford to waste gas.
do you remember the brand?
no but I just texted him asking

Average MPG for new 2002 vehicles: United States: 24.1 Canada: 25.6 Australia: 29.1 China: 29.3 European Union: 37.2 Japan: 46.3 Table 12 - http://www.pewclimate.org/docUploads/Fuel%20Economy%20and%20GHG%20Standards_010605_110719.pdf It's obvious that America has the worst average MPG out of any major country.
European cars get 60% better MPG then American cars. It's more economic and ecologically safe.
Nope. Go take a science course plox. Also, do you know WHYYY euro cars get better MPG?

European cars are made to run off of higher octane fuel. More explosive force per drop, therefore more energy per gallon of gas. FACT: The Koenigsegg ccx gets 806 BHP in America, but it gets more like 850 BHP in Europe. Same for mpg's in cars. European engines are made to work with this fuel, so they are the recommended fuel. American cars are made to run off of 88 octane gas instead of 96 octane. If you switch and run 94 octane gas on a 88 octane engine (and vice-versa) you will produce problems such as engine knock.

Vice versa though, yes.
Reposting my '86 Cutlass from the old thread. I fucking love her, she'll have some new rims soon to replace those grannies.
Are they actual rims, or just hubcaps?
Hubcaps. I'm looking for a nice pair of these puppies to replace them.
This one is pretty true. The average MPG of American cars is shit. [editline]20th October 2010[/editline] OP, you should be ashamed for making a thread title like that. American cars are garbage.
Get... Out.... Why do I feel like 3/4 of the new people in this V8 thread are either 12 or drive a Prius? [editline]21st October 2010[/editline]
or ANY american 4banger excluding the srt4 in the past ~10 years really [editline]21st October 2010[/editline] right now im torn between the boss bass600 and kenwood kscsw10
Ahh, tough choice. Personally, I would take the Kenwood.
or drive a Prius?
Driving a highly efficient and reliable vehicle is a bad thing now? Not everyone needs AMURICAN MUSCLE cars.
Ahh, tough choice. Personally, I would take the Kenwood.
me too but i'm going with the boss, I did just spend a little extra on a nicer headunit seems to work just as good from the reviews
Nope. Go take a science course plox. Also, do you know WHYYY euro cars get better MPG?
I doubt he can even tell you the process in which cars burn fuel.
Driving a highly efficient and reliable vehicle is a bad thing now? Not everyone needs AMURICAN MUSCLE cars.
no but a mustang gets better mileage then the 2.0 in my s2000 mainly because I don't have to cruise @ 5krpm [editline]21st October 2010[/editline]
I doubt he can even tell you the process in which cars burn fuel.
i bet he thinks more octane=more hp and drops bottles of octane booster in his 1.3 corsa in an attempt to beat a civic
I bet my 20 year old car gets better mpg than a brand new prius.
I bet my 20 year old car gets better mpg than a brand new prius.
and the pedals don't get stuck
If you don't have anyting to say nice, don't say it at all JDK721v5. Don't ruin this thread for people who enjoy it.
Driving a highly efficient and reliable vehicle is a bad thing now? Not everyone needs AMURICAN MUSCLE cars.
Too bad a Prius isn't that "high efficient." Nor is it reliable or a "good" car. American Muscle is one group of American automobiles that were born from the V8 and isn't used to describe every American vehicle.
So I got 4 completely mismatched tires when I bought some stock rims for winter (came with the rims for free so), some are pretty decent (bridgestone, michelin) and the other 2 are shitty. I already have some summer tires so I need something cool to do with these shitty ones.
hey the audi rs4 gets 13mpg obviously all european cars are a piece of shit
