ewww frontmount
ewww efficiency?
ewww efficiency?
Eww clogged with mud, dirt, and rocks after a single rally. Some people actually use their cars you know.
What Ford said. a 2000lb winch usually isn't even as much as your truck weighs. I would run an 8,000 pound winch on my pathfinder, and it only weighs 4000 lbs.
Ah ok. Well Im not going to take it up to the mountains until I get the engine running perfectly anyways. Thanks for the heads up.
ewww efficiency?
eww filling about 10 miles worth of 3" pipe with a hairdryer the size of my first :v: only solution is BIGGER TARBO [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbocharger-SUBARU-Impreza-WRX-STI-TD05H-18G-8cm-T518Z-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4aa1e6b5efQQitemZ320543831535QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories seems legit bro
Doc H. you better make sure everything is running great before you do. Don't want that shit quitting on you while your out there. Nevermind, saw your last post :) http://www.explorerforum.com/ This site's mainly based around Explorers but if you look around the forums a bit you'll be able to find a bunch of tips and how to's.
What would be a good starter car for under $5000? :v: Also the spark plug was stripped on the Subaru. It's all fixed now. Thanks guys!

Be more specific please. [editline]17th November 2010[/editline]
Volvo
I dont even feel comfortable driving it across town right now, much less up to the mountains. Luckily though the previous owner changed the transmission/brake fluid, and replaced the oil. So that is done. I might need to change plugs and wires and the basic "tune up" stuff will be done. Just have to fix the idling problem. The engine is also in a bit of shambles. As in the stuff like the charcoal canister is not connected so there are few few loose lines. Going to run it into a smog shop to see what needs to be fixed. Im hoping its not too much.
What car do you have again Doc? Mind taking a pic of the engine/car?
ALSO: How would I go about removing rust on the floor of my truck? The floor pans have rust btu I plan on just cutting them out. But the back of the trick has some rust as well. My plan is this: Put some CLR on it. Let it sit, then soak it up. After it dries coat it in rustoleum. Because the rust is too deep to sand off (thick piece of metal) And after I get my hands on a welder Im going to fabricate a rollcage. Im going to the hardware store later today to estimate how much it would cost for all the metal. And yet another thing: is $100 for a 90 amp flux wire welder a decent price? [editline]17th November 2010[/editline]
What car do you have again Doc? Mind taking a pic of the engine/car?
Well I have 2. A 1995 mustang GT and a 1976 Dodge Ramcharger. here is a picture from my crappy phone: As for the engine I can get a pic later today. the throttle cable popped off last night, so Ill grab a picture when I put it back on.
For a truck like yours make sure the tubing is at least 3/8's to a quarter inch thick. As for the rust, I would replace the floor with some sheet metal instead of coating it with rustoleum. What part in the back has rust? [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] Also, the tires look a bit old. If it's not just the picture, I would invest in a new set.

The rust has started to spread up the wall. Too much to cut and replace. And the metal that has rust on it is much thicker than sheet metal. And I was planning on using square tubes(?) rather than round tubes. It wont be a completely indestructible cage. I have the thick rollcage in the back already for rollovers. This one would mostly be used to stop small collisions trees/rocks/cars and to hold covers for the back windows and lights. [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] And the tires only have 300miles on them. The picture is really bad quality. give us a picture of your mustang doc h
The exterior is in a bit of rough shape. The guy that had it before me treated it like it was a tank. ALSO: It is NOT a cobra. the idiot before me thought it was cool to put cobra stickers on it......I took them off. [img_thumb]http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/1834/smallerm.jpg[/img_thumb] [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] Well Im off to the hardware store to buy a bunch of stuff to start restoring my truck. Ill grab a pic of the engine later.
I like it. it's not sapphire blue though so it's not as good etc etc
For some reason I don`t understand your guys`fascination with shitty old rusty trucks with carbs. If you want to `rock climb` get a jeep or something If you want to haul/tow stuff, get a newer truck that will cost you the same as the old one after you put all the money into fixing the old one Really, the main two reasons I've seen for getting trucks are those two and you can do both those things with newer, not rusted to shit, more fuel efficient trucks. Someone explain?
Eww clogged with mud, dirt, and rocks after a single rally. Some people actually use their cars you know.
but if the intercooler wasnt there then the radiator would get clogged with mud, dirt, and rocks.
I like it. it's not sapphire blue though so it's not as good etc etc
you mean purple [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/253740/ New Miata Thoughts? I think it looks loads better than the last generation, my favorite generation was the early 2000s ones.

(Aka my 1967 chevy pickup with multipoint fuel injection.) Old shit also looks better a lot of the time.

90s Mazda was the best Mazda
Goddamn that smile. What the fuck is wrong with you Mazda?
I dunno about you but I dig that bumper and grill. I think it looks equally good, if not better than my Speed6.

They are a lot easier to work on, and a lot cheaper to fix.

Someone explain?
Because I bought this old truck for under a grand. I MIGHT have to pay up to $300 to get it running perfectly. And lets say another $200 for fixing small amounts of rust and a full paint job. That brings me up to $1450. Show me where I can get a "newer" truck for that much? I also really like the look of old vehicles. I myself, and many other people, (I dont know about you) really enjoy working on vehicles. With new vehicles all you can do is upgrade. Which cost money. Sometimes a lot. With old vehicles there is always something you can do to it for little to no money. I enjoy just going out to my truck and working on a problem as long as it takes to fix it. Thats one of my most favorite activities. The feeling of accomplishment you get from taking something broken and working on it until its fixed is awesome.
what do you guys think about mini coopers?
what do you guys think about mini coopers?
I bet I could fit one of those on the back of my pickup.
I bet I could fit one of those on the back of my pickup.
they can actually fit four people as long as the people aren't giants I'm like 5"10 or "11, and my stepdad is ~6"0, and we both fit in the back seat
Sooooo.. Anybody know of a site that offer diagrams on engines? Seeing as Google cant help me with the fuel screw location. And I really wanted to take it somewhere tomorrow.
