Either way. I would much rather have an old truck that I can use and abuse than a perfect newer one that I'm too afraid to get a scratch on. If someone handed me a truck like Doc's I would be ecstatic to tell you the truth.
my hairdresser's car is still faster than his ramcharger :colbert:
Lol you think a truck like this is for speed?
but seriously, this IS all because you said like 20 dumb things and I'm holding a stupid grudge or something
whatever dude good luck with the truck hope you get it running
when you fix it post some pics but not from your cellphone lol
No. I said like 15 dumb things. But the thing is, I admitted I was mistaken, and yes you still have an odd grudge.
I do plan on getting out my nice camera and taking a few pics. But I want to do that when i have a full day to screw around in the dirt.

When I bump my mustang I freak out and check for scratches. When I put a scratch on the truck.. "Ha"
On another note: Do you guys want me to post the pics I took at a local car show? (I dont remember if I have already or not)
By the way, thank you very much for rating me dumb on each post FordLord and Dysplasia

oh and `going offroad` is a pretty loosely used term, maybe just you and Apoc actually do it, everyone else just drives on some muddy trails and calls it offroading, which I can do in a family sedan
I don't do heavy offroading really, I just go out to show people up. I only do what they attempt to do and cant, which usually just requires driver finesse.
Oh
and a thousand bucks cash says my 43 year old truck is faster than your MX3

I only said that to see what he says
but what's your 43 year old truck?
Would a 90 amp flux wire welder be efficient enough to fabricate the roll cage? I dont really know anything about welding but its on sale and I am going to eventually learn how to.
a 90 amp flux for 100$ is going to last you about four welds. It would probably be enough, but meh. Welders are not something I scimp on.
edit: Oh yeah

Ah that's what Im afraid of. Now Im looking at $400 for one. Oh well, must pay for quality I guess.
meh, Iunno about 400. My uncle bought like a 280$ one for 200$ on sale, and it has lasted him forever. He welds shit quite a bit, too.

Hm, I guess the guy at home depot doesnt make the best recomendations. Ill just ask this professional welder I know. Thanks for the heads up.
Hey all.
Long time no see.
Ended up wrecking the Elantra on a patch of black ice.
$6800 repair - new rear suspension, rear bumper, rear quarter panel, and transmission lines. The insurance guy said that if there was anything else wrong with it, it would have been totaled.
Fucking sucks.

I thought it was a write-off if the repair is worth more than the car (which I`m guessing it is)?
Why didn't you just get something new for the 6800?
