welcome back asshole edit: Get an Aerocharger for your car edberg
I actually have to agree, it seems Americans will defend their Yank Tanks to the end and seem to think if it's American built then it's "one helluva car!", but if it's from across the pond then it's a plasticky econobox, not the case. Most Yank Tanks are cheap and cheerful cars with comparably poor build quality (I said most, not all) when compared to something like Ferosso's car. I could go on to talk about things like BHP per litre, reliability figures and the like but that would cause too much of a shit storm. The message is that people should stop slating cars just because they're not a so called muscle car or truck.
I'm American, and I would never buy an American car. :smug:

You guys read the thread in GD about the guy going to jail for going 217 km/h in his car? Lol, everyone on FP is saying he deserves it because it's such a crazy speed. Seriously I'm pretty sure everyone in this thread has gone over that speed, not a big deal if it's on an open highway with minimal traffic.
~140 here i try to refrain from doing so seeing as how I don't want my piloting career to go up in flames
my car can only go like 127 mph :saddowns:
my mx-3 tops out at 210 km/h but I went in our maxima and it went 220 lol
the fastest I ever went was 180km/h in a toyota yaris sport :saddowns:
the fastest i've ever went was 70mph
135/140mph around that speed i swear i could see my gas gauge dropping slowly
I've done 140 on the E6... but so does everyone else and yes, km/h
-snip- lies

The rims just aren't nearly as distracting as a 20ft spoiler and a body kit that gets caught up on speed bumps.
145, bmw 325i maybe? it was a 4 door bmw and the guy had purple heart plates so... how could i resist?
Have never driven that fast myself but the fastest I've been was 143mph. In my cousin's Saleen Stang that I showed you guys. It's not even that fast or that dangerous, you just have to be able to handle it.

The message is that people should stop slating cars just because they're not a so called muscle car or truck.
Anybody who knows anything about cars considers bhp/Liter. Sure there are people on both sides who brag like their VTEC or super huge V8 is all the jazz. If anything my 'super heavy tank' Dodge Charger has a bhp/L of 11 and even more for Torque/L than the average stock 'tuner' car. We also don't blindly defend American cars, it just so happens that we like to add contrast to people who jizz over a huge wing and a body kit on a low performance car that tries to drift with fwd just like the japanese folk laugh at 5.0L V8 making 190 hp on a car that weighs 4000 pounds. Lovers of foreign and domestic will always quarrel with each other and that will never end but real car enthusiasts don't care. Also the stereotypes of quality problems have been resolved in my opinion and in fact I would say most American cars are on par with international standards especially the overhyped (but still awesome) German automobiles. My writing is dodgy because I'm writing this in class while taking notes so don't take offense because I don't wanna cause a shitstorm either.
Getting myself the new kia pro cee'd next year for my first car, looking forward to it. Driven it a fair bit and it's good fun to drive as well as a pleasure to drive. Good MPG as well.
shitstorm
[editline]29th November 2010[/editline] But seriously, I completely agree with both domestic and import having bad examples but in this thread an occuring trend is going batshit insane over a spoiler and admiring 10000m^2 of chrome. Not that I like either.
My truck maxes at 150mph, but my god it's terrifying. :ohdear:
Most people in this thread already hate me so I`ll be the one to say it since I just got back: shitty taillights, shitty chrome, shitty fake intake vent, and if you didn`t put them on then why not take them off, can`t be that hard, it has more chrome than a 12 year old`s midnight club saved cars
Yeah because I went out and spent a shit ton on chrome for my car so I could look like a bad ass mo' fucka... It's a fucking awesome car, so I got what I could pay for with 9 grand... 30,000 miles and a friend wanted to get rid of it. He was all into getting big ass rims and making it look like he had a 13 inch cock (hence the name magnum) so he put all the shit on there. I'm removing most of it and selling the rims so I can buy a different set

I understand you're going to remove it, but some people seem to think it looks fine the way it does (which it doesn't) which is redicilous.
Max speed of the durango is about 120mph I have gotten it to 115 mph. Scary as hell though being that high up though.
The fastest I've ever went was around 125mph in my friends Ford Crown Vic. That was fun lol.
make it look like thiiiiiis: and imagine how a magnum would look like with the new charger front: it would be so much better and holy shit look at what I found: [img_thumb]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PfCtci5ED8s/S-AwXM0V9qI/AAAAAAAABWw/C7nRYXlDt6M/s1600/dodge-charger-2010-a.jpg[/img_thumb] the new charger would look soooo much better like that :buddy:
I really don't care for newer American cars. Older cars have some style and retrograde value but the new cars that come out of my beloved country just can't stack up to those produced in Germany, England, or even Asia.
I hate the chrome and big rims but I'm not about to comment on it. His car, his deal. I'll only say something about another persons car if it is truly fucking ridiculous. You guys wouldn't be saying anything if it was a complete chromed out M6.

I prefer a car to be elegant. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline] My problem with cars like the new charger and camero is that every time one comes near every cock who thinks he knows anything about cars gets a hard-pn because he thinks it's the best thing around. Same goes for Ferrari and Lamborghini. They're not even that good around the track.
