I would prefer a unique, slightly.... not good looking, car then a generic 'copy paste' of the current 'style'.
I hate most imports. But I also hate most American cars now. v:v:v I suppose there are only a few on each side that I like.
All this rally talks makes me REALLY want a Subaru. :buddy:
My car is not unique and looks like a piece of shit that ain't worth putting any money into.
:smith:
Edit: Damn automerge.
Any one have experience with car camera mounts?
I'm looking for one, and don't know of any good brands.
I asked about that almost 2 pages ago and never got a response eather so..
Yeah, I made one a while back. Worked alright, but not good enough to keep using.
They are pretty cheap, so I think I will just buy one and see how it goes.

Well is it the only car you can afford? If so then its good enough. If you have a running car then consider yourself lucky my man. :buddy:

Well, I'm worried it may not be running soon and I won't be able to afford to fix it, or if I can afford to fix it, it will take all my savings towards a new car.
The only downside of it really is the defrost sucks balls so I can either
(A): Wait 20 minutes to be able to see
(B): Try and wipe my windows off by hand smearing my human oils everywhere
(C): Drive with practically no vision.
Yeah my car and I have had a history. Now we have to part.
why?
Cars thread, I come to you in a time of need.
I need a job but I don't want to work on cars >:( I enjoy working on cars and if I do it for a living thats out the window.
What do?

Then find a job.
pilot
Does anyone here have a remote starter? I'm in the market for one, but I can't seem to find any good reviews for one. I don't need anything fancy, just something that will warm up the car for the upcoming winter.
If it helps, my car is an 2000 Sable

:frown: Well that just sucks. Not much to say except hope that your car stays alive long enough save up for a new one. As for the defrost, if its ice just buy a $5 ice scraper. If its just fogged up windows. Then yeah.... not much you can do. :/

The car came with an ice scraper: On the other hand: Yeah, it's the fog that is the problem.
Strange because we have a history of no snow here, but it just started DUMPING SNOW IN NOVEMBER. OH GOD DECEMBER IS COMING. LOCK THE DOORS!
I do have a guaranteed better car coming in the spring for a Graduation Gift, but tbh, I want to be SAFE now. The seat belts are frayed, CV Joints(?) are making weird sounds (A clicking/metal on metal sound when turning), a loose timing belt (Noticeably feelable/hearable. Already been tightened recently), and a defrost issue.

Oooh that does not sound fun. Maybe you could find replacement belts? They cant be too expensive. You know, just small repairs to hold you off until spring.
nvm
Has anyone else watched the american version of top gear?
20km/h over the limit over here is an instant license suspension, and probably a fucking whopping fine over $300. My state is the biggest nanny state when it comes to road rules.
I live in Victoria, in Australia, and we have the most speed cameras, and the most expensive fines out of any city in the world. I think we also have the lowest highest allowable speed of any state (no roads are over 100km/h or 62mph). And you can get booked for going 3km/h over the speed limit, whether you're going 43 in a 40 zone or 103 in a 100 zone.
It's an outrage, but people are starting to catch onto the fact that it's just a money generation scheme, and it's actually dangerous. I spend more time looking at my speedo than the road just trying to stay under the limit, and it's a fact that you are more alert when you drive faster. I can just about fall asleep doing 100 on the highway when I'm not even tired, it's just that fucking boring.
Maybe a few years into the future we'll see some reform, though I doubt it.

I would.
Btw dunno if it's been posted but some guy made a new Stratos. The front is shaped weird and the headlights are odd but otherwise I'd rock the fuck out of it.

Vote for what car you think has the most uneccesary aftermarket parts.

Not going to choose favorites. They'd both look better without the body mods. Mainly the weird vents on the Magnums doors, and the sticker on the Civic. Other than that, they'd both look fine to me but a bit tacky.
Yeah ofcourse it's not a matter if you like it or not. Think of wich one you hate the less, lol. I know lots of people don't like the Civic. I just want to see what the difference between chromeparts on a US car and CF parts on a japanese car is.
The only aftermarket bodypart on my car so far, except from the rims if you count that aswell, is the spoiler. The rear lights are original facelifts from a japanese EK hatch.
my vote was strictly the fact that its a rwd v8 station wagon, my dream machine

And I don't recall ever bashing your car in any way. It's at least pretty stylish. I just have a thing against stickers on any part of a car.
