sup guys, been on vacation for a while, haven't been very active. while i was away my 240 was in the shop getting a FMIC, boost controller, turbo timer, and finishing up the gauge install. while they were doing the intercooler install the found that my blitz BOV was on a steel flange and that they couldn't find an aluminum blitz flange, so i had to get a HKS SSQV if i wanted it anytime soon. you guys know how SSQVs have those fin insert things to change the sound? well my blitz was pretty much just a whoosh of air and thats what i liked, and my SSQV with the fin it comes with sounds too high pitched so i took out the fin. It sounds a little better but weird. Should i put it back in even though it seems a little ricerish? I mean it is HKS not some freddy knockoff so...
interesting email, heard any of these before? Helpful Hints For Winter Keep your headlights clear with car wax! Just wipe ordinary car wax on your headlights. It contains special water repellents that will prevent that messy mixture from accumulating on your lights - lasts 6 weeks. Squeak-proof your wipers with rubbing alcohol! Wipe the wipers with a cloth saturated with rubbing alcohol or ammonia. This one trick can make badly streaking & squeaking wipers change to near perfect silence & clarity. Ice-proof your windows with vinegar! Frost on it's way? Just fill a spray bottle with three parts vinegar to one part water & spritz it on all your windows at night. In the morning, they'll be clear of icy mess. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which raises the melting point of water---preventing water from freezing! Prevent car doors from freezing shut with cooking spray! Spritz cooking oil on the rubber seals around car doors & rub it in with a paper towel. The cooking spray prevents water from melting into the rubber Fog-proof your windshield with shaving cream! Spray some shaving cream on the inside of your windshield & wipe if off with paper towels. Shaving cream has many of the same ingredients found in commercial defoggers. De-ice your lock in seconds with hand sanitizer! Just put some hand sanitizer gel on the key & the lock & the problems solved!
I've done the waxing headlights and I've heard of the vinegar-windows thing but I don't think I want vinegar near my car. Some of that stuff like putting shit in the lock I don't know if I'd want to do either even if it does work.
that was kind of my thought on a lot of them, each has something made specifically for it, and while other shit might work i dont know that i wanna screw anything up, especially with the locks
You should always wax your headlights regardless of the time of year.
has anybody ever experienced water in their taillights? like, heavy amounts? the malibu in front of me in traffic today had enough that it was waving with the car as it turned

Put a potato in the exhaust pipe and you won't even hear it! Put steaming hot coffee on your hands and steering wheel when it's a cold winter day! To prevent water from accumulating and freezing in your gas tank throw in some mashed potatoes!! but actually all of the ones you posted sound like they would work but I'm not willing to have shaving cream and vinegar all over my car instead of a clean car and like 5 minutes of heating the windshield lol [editline]1st December 2010[/editline]
sup guys, been on vacation for a while, haven't been very active. while i was away my 240 was in the shop getting a FMIC, boost controller, turbo timer, and finishing up the gauge install. while they were doing the intercooler install the found that my blitz BOV was on a steel flange and that they couldn't find an aluminum blitz flange, so i had to get a HKS SSQV if i wanted it anytime soon. you guys know how SSQVs have those fin insert things to change the sound? well my blitz was pretty much just a whoosh of air and thats what i liked, and my SSQV with the fin it comes with sounds too high pitched so i took out the fin. i drive my car to 3500 just so it goes tschhh
if its the actual performance not sound effects, why not amplify? nobody just plucks a les paul, they make it loud as fuck cuz its worth showing off... do it!
I'm putting full 3in turboback on my pickup with no muffler or anything. Just 3in turboback. DAT TURBO SPOOL

resize your images edbro This vid makes me wish it was track season again. It also makes me want an STI. (Not the best vid ever and the guy sucks at driving, but damn if it doesn't do a good job of making it look fun)

Anybody used dynomaster for android? Seems pretty good. I managed a 20.23 at 60.2mph in my girlfriends diesel 306 last night lol. I need some new tyres before i try mine, always spin up even with 4wd, these avon tyres suck arse.
The SJ is at dads friends house for now a while to get the rust treated :buddy:
