Ya some grade 11 has an R32 I saw at my school. From what you guys told me it looks like a GTS4. Pretty bad shape though like the other R32. This guy owns 2 rust bucket Tacomas, 300ZX, 240SX and now this Skyline and they're all in bad shape.
Alright, so it turns out my car is totaled, so I've been in the market for a decent used all-wheel-drive automobile for under $7,000. I've been looking mostly at Subarus, specifically the Outback and the Forester. Is this a good price, and is there anything I should be watching out for when I go to see it on Saturday?

$50 says it was in an accident and has a salvage title. No way, no how, will I buy a car with a salvage title.
"Needs minor repairs" = Needs a shitload of work.
Craigslist has some great deals in my area.
I found a perfect condition 69' Camaro for 4k. It's engine was all shiny too. The guy just wanted to free space in his garage since he had about 10 other classic cars worth more.
That Outback keeps looking better. A light wagon with 165 horsepower, a 5-speed, and all-wheel-drive will be fun as hell.
I don't want a car that's been totaled and put back together that already has "minor issues".
then this

Did you Volvo-heads see that Autoart made a 1:18th scale of the old Volvo 240 Turbo?

My talon weighs about the same I would guess and has close to 250 bhp and I still don't think it's enough. I guess it depends what your idea of fun is though, I'm sure you're not buying it to turn it into a race car or anything. It'll do fine for the occasional offroading and snow drifting if that's what you want.

Our 99 Accord had 330k miles on it. Then my mom totaled it. But anyways, the point it it was running strong. Japanese cars are really reliable when it comes to transmission.

I might bolt on a turbo, give it a few pounds of boost, and get ~250 hp from it.
One other thing:
The Talon is FWD, and the Subaru is all-wheel-drive, so I should get some benefit to launches and cornering.
Word of working to all UK drivers, I've been hearing multiple stories of drivers being fined £60 and given 3 points for failing to clear the snow off their car, namely the roof to an acceptable amount. Fair enough I think, I've seen a few cars driving around covered in snow apart from the windscreen and a driver could easily miss them if they were only having a quick glance at a junction. See and be seen.

Thought that was a Nissan Stagea at first glance. Surely that would be a better buy? An estate version of a Nissan Skyline!
wow, we just found out that the suzuki I bought for my dad has actually just driven about 88 000 km
two mechanics had a look at it and they say that there haven't been any parts on it changed since it was new and even the axles are still the original paint
that's sick :buddy:
and the winter tires that's on it still have the green line across them so they are brand new

ok heres the deal
the transmission is made of glass, hard shifting and launching is a big nono unless you know how to slip into the gears during shifts and launch properly, tldr use the clutch as a means of dampening any shock on the drivetrain, sure youll burn the shit out of it in no time but its cheaper then a transmission
base model cornering is shit, you'll get mopped by any fwd civic im sure, massive understeer under power as well as body roll, so youll need a rear swaybar at least. offroading is top notch though since the front wheels will pull you out of any crazy angle
dont boost an na car, you aren't up for the massive amounts of work required to do it, get an old wrx or something with a turbo already, youll thank me in the long run, the suspension is way better and youll have a viscous center diff instead of the fag open diff that makes the car feel like its fwd, if you dont care about power nevermind this
