Meh, hosts
Yeah but they should get better as things go along. I mean compared to the first episode or so of mythbusters adam and jamie have gotten much better.
i just realized how retarded my car sounds from the outside Also, super tyte snow tokyo drift Taken at 4 am
I can't believe that I saw a brand new Mercedes SL 63 AMG at Home Depot. Why would a person drive this car to home depot? WHY?
I can't believe that I saw a brand new Mercedes SL 63 AMG at Home Depot. Why would a person drive this car to home depot? WHY?
...to buy shit? [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] or to buy mexicans. Either or.
hahaha so you think your 45 year old truck weighs the same as a newer car? My car has 130hp and a new Ram has like twice that much, my car's still faster than it, WHAT DO [editline]4th December 2010[/editline] Unless you really need a truck (towing stuff, driving around a lot of stuff), then buying one is a total waste of money. Awful fuel economy, slow, etc. etc. Do you see everyone who doesn`t have a truck just slipping and sliding everywhere they go in the winter? NOPE. Just those that can't drive, my FWD car is fine in the winter cause I don't floor the fuck out of it in corners and we get more snow than most people in the world.
Unless you buy your car to race jokers on the street for no reason, then what does weight and horsepower and speed etc. have to do with anything? I thought we were talking about traction? The only reason i mentioned the HP in my truck is because you mentioned it, and i was saying my 45 year old truck had the same amount as yours...The discussion was about traction. And i don't know where you live, but where i live, I DO see everyone without a truck sliding around. Does that mean everyone in my city can't drive? Probably. But you can't deny that you get far less traction in the winter with street tires, which is what i was talking about, and trucks with street tires here spin and wreck all the time, whereas trucks with tires like mine don't. Maybe that's because the people that buy these tires do it because they know how to drive and actually use them, like me, but whether you believe me or not, my truck gets far more traction than my moms suv with street tires, and far more traction than your FWD car... And then we get back to this discussion again. Buying one is a total waste of money. Didn't we go over this once? In this thread, or maybe a different one? I'm not going to be towing shit every day of my life so buying my truck was a waste of money? Lets see you take your FWD car out to the mesa i go to every weekend, then tell me i should have gotten a car instead of a truck. Not everyone buys trucks to haul shit. Not everyone buys SUV's to haul around 10 people at once. Not everyone buys cars because they are more fuel economic. I could go on.
So how are gas prices in everyones areas? $3.19 a gallon here for regular.
Some are. But if they are meant for towing stuff, instead of basically being a van (like a U-Haul), they most likely won't be. It's just a waste of power. The engine is still trying to power all four wheels, so the power is spread out evenly between them all, even when the front is lifted a bit from the weight in the back. It may have the option for 4wd, but you probably can't enable it when a load is connected, or it will disable itself. At least that's what my Grand-Dads super duty does.
Yea, some brands have an option to keep it 4x2 but I don't understand why someone wouldn't go with 4 wheel. I don't see why they would design a system that disengages 4 wheel drive automatically when you have a load connected. Dumbest idea ever. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline]
Tires.
Justin your tires are 33's right? What gears did you have before the tires went on. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline]
So how are gas prices in everyones areas? $3.19 a gallon here for regular.
Averaging $2.74 a gallon. Isn't too bad considering it was up to $3.01 last week.
So how are gas prices in everyones areas? $3.19 a gallon here for regular.
Octane 95 is 11,40 danish kroner per liter. 11,40 dkk = $2,03 for a liter. So thats... $7,68 per gallon [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] Fucking hell your gas is cheap [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] Fucking hell your gas is cheap
How can your country get away with charging such high prices for gas? I remember last year when diesel here was like $4 a gallon, there was tons of protesting and truck drivers refusing to work because of it.
Started drive to shop to get turbo timer fixed, car overheated, thought i blew a headgasket, had it towed to shop, found out it was a coolant hose under the intake manifold, shop went through two more Apexi turbo timers before giving up and swapping a Greddy full-auto at no charge (the one i originally wanted.) p.s. periods are for suckas, ballers use endless commas [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] p.p.s. jemand soll kaufen mir Stance GR+ PRO coils für Weihnachten
its never above $2.65 or so for me
Gas is expensive here, also what do people here think of aftermarket headlights with HID kits? I want to get some projectors on my Pontiac Grand Prix but I am a little skeptical it might look a bit wack. I mean its by no means "rice" in my opinion but some vehicles..

Prismatex said he needs a vehicle to go skiing, but he wants it to be pretty fast too. An a6 is big enough for skis and shit, it`s fast and it`s AWD. Buying a truck would be pretty useless for him: the better performance in winter and better payload wouldn`t make up for the extra gas money and the slowness

And i never said my truck is "Much better", i said that it is more reliable in conditions like snow, where as a car would have more problems. If he wants to go skiing, why not get an SUV? You get the reliability of a truck, but can still haul skis and is still fast. Just because it's not a car doesn't mean it isn't fast. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] Gas prices are somewhere around $2.25 here, haven't had to fill up in a few weeks (and you said my truck is horrible on gas...hah) so i can't remember an exact number.
2.25 in austin tx. I've been topping it off now around $30-40

Won't blind anyone like HID in Halogen Housings, but its light output is pure shit. BUT it IS easy enough to retrofit most of these 2.5" Chinese Projectors with MORIMOTO MINI H1 Bi-Xenon projectors. whether its rice or not, I Think they are sexy on Grand Prixs. I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix would look this: I kinda like the look, the light output on these ones are HORRIBLE but can be somewhat fixed with spacers, the headlights sit too close to the frame so they have to use shortish projectors, makes a retrofit kinda hard. For some reason i made the assumption you had a 6th Gen GP. And I didn't even know they FINALLY made Projectors for the 7th gens. hunted high and low for my buddy since He loved my Impala Projectors but none existed 6 months ago. Only thing I would do with those, is Swap out White LEDs for Ambers, and use those as turn signals. I've always hated the extra leds in all of the aftermarket lights, but I do like the halos. But the down side from that picture, is they are LED driven Halos which are dim as fuck CCFL Would be so much better, Mine are visable in the daytime. And a Conversion is still doable, if you don't mind taking a dremal to your car! Acura NSX, nice or no? Landlord's son owns this car, with black rims. I took a peek inside and it has a push-button start. :smug:
I heard it's expensive. But, it's pretty nice.
Yeah I would have to take a dremel to my car to make the projectors work, I might buy them once I get cash and then just go from there, I really dont want to fiddle with a retrofit too much. I am sick of fucking with headlights after my Jetta..
Depends how bad it is inside. For Mine it's as simple as making an adapater plate out of plastic. Projector is exactly the same but smaller. Then all you'd have to worry about is clearance to the frame. Personally I've become sick of the aftermarket headlights, and Am going to do a full retrofit on the OEM headlights, Alot more "Fun".

[img_thumb]http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y54/mike690003/HID%20Retrofits/DSC00368.jpg[/img_thumb]
If thats the case it should be easy but judging by the forums it looks like you would have to take the headlight lens off and all that jazz which sucks, I'll just have to see how the light output is on the aftermarket ones. I just dont want to blind people.
The Aftermarket headlights are easy to take apart. Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes @ 250-300 tops. The OEM ones on most GMs tho are Chemical welded, so dont try it on those ones.
So how are gas prices in everyones areas? $3.19 a gallon here for regular.
$6.47 for Diesel and quite a lot more for others.
gas prices here are ridiculous between 13 and 14 norwegian kroner per litre that's $8.63 a gallon

I heard by "somebody" on a certain program that you can voice chat with, that K10's of that year will make it up to 80 mph.
gas prices here are ridiculous between 13 and 14 norwegian kroner per litre that's $8.63 a gallon
Haven't seen 14 yet but it was 13 two days ago and yesterday it was quite cheap with 12,68,- so I filled my car up then :buddy:
Usually around $2.70 but it is working its way down.
