Post your dream cars. The second I get a job (next year) I'm saving every single penny from left to right for this car. Ever since I seen the movie when I was 9 or so I have been obsessed with it, it will always be my favorite car.
If I could get any car for free, the one I'd get would be this I think LP640
Definitely my avatar. Or this R35.

Flat black '74 Dodge Dart Swinger, for 1 grand! Pretty much rustless from what I can see, has a slant 6 for fuel mileage. (only engine that I like that isn't a v8) It also comes with a 360 which I have every part under the sun for. Would be a great driver. I was gonna get a Dodge Aspen with a Slant 6 but I got talked out of it. It was clean as hell too.
Fuck automobiles. Snow mobiles are more fun this time of year. Artic Cat T660 Turbo. 500Lbs and 110HP (stock) and easily 180HP with a tuner. Was doing 110mph across the lake so fast.
and why is that
just drive the last mile of your journey off boost? Honestly, they're unneeded. I had one fitted to my last car, was quite fun leaving it to shut off it's self - but pointless.
When looking for a new car, pick two
i'm pretty sure every car makes poping noises while the metal contracts and shit, it sounds more like ticking for me
yeah that's nothing to worry about, my car does it every time i turn it off and i don't have a turbo or anything
When looking for a new car, pick two [img_thumb]http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c289/Ferosso/awe63.png[/img_thumb]
How true.
Slammed! Could do with a wash.
holy crap, put on some bbs rims now! 13 or 14 inches. [editline]6th December 2010[/editline] no wait, just paint your steelies white
I'm sure i could get mine up to 100 MPH easy, the thing is the rear end and the tranny are geared really low, 80 is all i feel safe at because once i get above that, the engine climbs real high in the RPM's and everything starts to whine due to spinning so fast, the suspension starts to shake and whatnot, i don't think the tires are rated to go up to 100 MPH eather...But if i really wanted to, i could. The reason i say 80 is as fast as i can go is because like i said, that's the highest speed i feel comfortable driving at.
Define high revving. Most petrol cars should be quite capable of revving to 5,500+ without and troubles.
Well I have failed my own plan. My camera died at like 3 minutes in even though I charged it all night. Hopefully tomorrow morning it will work.
put me by MikeL and edberg, AKA turbo club kthnx
can i join the turbo club? tomorrow, of course.
Anyone hate when they drop a shit ton of salt for no fucking reason! Fuck I hate living in Pittsburgh in the fall/winter.
no fucking reason!
You know....salt tends to...like....lower the melting point of water which means it will not freeze as fast which basically prevents black ice and just general slippyness. And that's not just in Pittsburgh as well.
Lucky dip car auction... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SNOW-COVERED-CAR-UP-AUCTION-/260700641469?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cb2f818bd Someone's selling a car but not saying what car, the pictures are covered in snow. It's up to £1200 so far! My guess is that it's an MG ZT: The only 1.4 engine I know of with 100+ hp is the K series used in them, plus they mention a big boot spoiler. Still, not a bad buy!
Thats just a "british version" of a Civic like mine really
K Granted one or two of those people are idiots, but for the most part Theres nothing they can do. The roads covered in a nasty layer of ice. The fuckin bus litteraly slid down under its own weight lol.
I agree that you can't do anything/very much when you start sliding but the common sense move from the get-go would be to stay off of the roads or find another route. The bus probably has to follow it but the dumbasses in the cars didn't.
Thats just a "british version" of a Civic like mine really
Well it's a British version of the British Rover 25 with a few extras and a different engine, they are more commonly seen being towed by AA trucks.
30% chance of snow tomorrow. and every route to school i know of has a bigass hill ): BUT i will have my camera with me. who wants to see if I crash? [editline]6th December 2010[/editline]
Jesus christ I can't wait for the 11' edition to come out. 16k reserved to put down on it
are you getting the R/T or the base model?
30% chance of snow tomorrow. and every route to school i know of has a bigass hill ): BUT i will have my camera with me. who wants to see if I crash?
Me.
someone buy me a camera and car mount, and I'll record my ride to school :smug:
i drive my neighbor to school so I'm just going to have him hold the camera :P
I'll record my drive once I get my new car. Or tomorrow.
i have no video camera :(
if I had a video camera I could record the road I drive south to a friend almost every weekend hard to resist not going past the speed limit there :buddy:
Do you think they magicly know its that icy? Look at the blowing snow for one, guaranteed under those conditions its "black ice". I've been in nasty situations like that, its not as simple as "your an idiot"...
I live on a hill. I can look out in the morning and tell if it's gonna be slippery or not. That road clearly looked in the video like it was slippery, and the Bus Driver took a risk. Either way: Bus Depot's usually survey the roads to make sure they are clear, so I don't see why this even happened. However: I live on a steep hill and I've never slipped on it, because I park above the hill when it is too icy. Forethought.
