Wow, that car must smell amazing!
Car Thread, I have an issue.
My friend has a 1992 Honda Civix LX Automatic that he thinks he should spend lots of money to rice out the body and get a "Racing" wheel. He was also looking at neon underglow (Which happens to be illegal) and he plans to spend enough money (Few thousand?) in that he could get a much better car. How can I convince him not to rice out his little 1992 Honda Civic and get a better car instead, or atleast add some parts that would increase performance rather than pure aesthetics?
P.S: He's looking at Carbon Fibre hoods right now. =_=
Remember the bigger and more chromed out the rims are, and the more stickers = more horsepower.

Threw up in my mouth.
Rain/sleet/ice/big snow predicted for this Saturday and Sunday
does anyone else here hate tailgaters?
today I was driving in the right lane, and this cunt in a mustang tailed me for like five miles. eventually he decided to pass me using a right turn lane. for a second I thought he was gonna wreck into another car or guard rail.
Sure do. I brake checked this one kid last weekend while driving through my neighborhood. I was already going about 35 in a 25 and he was like 6 feet off my bumper. So I just tapped the brake real quick... he backed off. Little shit.
I feel like a dick when I accidentally tailgate somebody and don't realize it.
I hate tailgaters too. Last week I pull out of my neighborhood to go to school, we just had a hard freezing, so the roads were a bit slick, I still went the speed limit of 50 though. I look in the rear view and some prick in a Mazda is so close to my bumper I can't see his headlights, so I slowed down to 35; then down to 15 in the school zone just to piss them off. Turns out it was some preppy bitch who sat 5 seats away from me in math class.

I thought about it, but it's not worth it. he was really close, and if I would've braked he probably would've hit me.
I was hoping he would pass me like you're supposed to (using the left lane), but he was a fucking retard and dangerously used a right turn lane and almost hit another car in front of him.

In my moms escape if you barely, I mean barely touch the break pedal the brake lights will go on but the car will not slow down.
Only time i ever tailgate is if i myself am being tailgated; i feel like i need to speed up as if I'm not going fast enough, and end up tailgating the guy in front of me trying to get the dick off my own ass...And I'd hate to hit someone with my truck, they'll be buying a new car rather than a new bumper...
same with my buick, a guy was right on my ass one time and i just made it light up, his whole car dipped he hit the brakes so hard

If somebody cuts my dad off, he'll ride their ass to hell. When we were coming down from Virginia (to Florida), this Prius cut my dad off, even though we were going around 87. My dad just stayed maybe three feet from them, and when they pulled to the right, they flipped us off even though "they started it".
Good news: Finally brought the Volvo back from the guy selling it an hour and a half away.
Bad news: I won't be able to get it a NY inspection (it was originally from PA) until at least Friday.

I don't give a shit if they merge in front of me somewhat safely, but yeah if they dangerously do it then it's annoying, but I just ignore it.
the worst is if they constantly tail you.

Speaking of flipping the good old birdie I had a guy this morning that kept speeding up on the on ramp (with my already on the highway) trying to get on like he expected me to slow down. He ran out of room and went in behind me.
Conversation during:
Me: I don't know what this guy's going to do, it's his fucking job to yield
Friend: Probably drop back, switch lanes, speed up, and flip you off
Me: Indeed
Guess what the guy did :smug:

I flipped the bird today at some asshole in a lifted Silverado who was tailgating me with his brights on, illuminating my entire cabin.
I opened the sunroof, flipped the bird at him, then opened the driver's side window and did it again.
Guy behind me got rear ended on the Golden Gate Bridge
I'm making a list of some things to do to my Impreza, so far I have come up with;
Stiffer motor mounts ($110)
Lightweight crank pulley (stock is ~5lbs, aftermarket is around 1.2lbs) (~$100)
I'm thinking I might replace belts since they gotta come off for the pulley, not sure yet
I managed to find a glitch on a site where I can get a lightweight pulley worth $100 for $30, but the brand isn't exactly known for being good.
Oh, and what's known as Power Mode. All you do is ground out a pin on the TCU, and it some how makes it have quite a bit more power.

It's not funny anymore. Stop trying.
Car pulls out, I try to pull in and this car also looking for a spot says thats my fucking spot back off fucking asshole. I don't like aruging over a spot i can walk an extra 100 feet.
I wish anger mangement was required as part of your drivers test

I thought that was just for increasing throttle response?
I thought that was just for increasing throttle response?
No idea, it changes something in the transmission.
I guess with the 4eat, when you floor it, it changes something in the transmission so that it accelerates faster. When you ground a certain pin out, it makes whatever it changes stay changed all the time.
what, don't be a fucking idiot. driving with your foglights on is illegal and you are hated by all other car drivers. at least in england anyway. get fucked.
yeah I get it, your town sucks because foglights are illegal and is full of stupid ricers that stick chinese HIDs in reflector housings, this however does not mean that I don't know what I'm doing

i'd take the 100$ and put it towards an intake, those pullys never struck me as worth the price/installation hastle
lolfags
I run with my fog lights on all day erryday
no really I do. I wired them into ignition on. wat.
I used to run my fogs all the time, but one blew out and the bezel thing on the other fell off some where
