I hate people who claim weed is PERFECTLY safe and you should smoke it 24/7. I know it's really safe and much safer than Alcohol but there's absolutely no doubt that it can bring on panic in individuals you'd never expect it in.
The difference between cause and exacerbate is hard to define but I'm going to say that if he didn't have any panic attacks before smoking. Then after 2 years has them all the time now. That's caused an issue, not exacerbated it.
Fuck off with your dumbass 420 shit. Weed is healthy but it's not for everybody and all drugs worth doing have negatives.
hurr, because I'm defending weed I must obviously subscribe to the bullshit stoner culture and recommend everyone should smoke constantly. </S>
Also, who said he had to have panic attacks before he started? Exacerbate means make worse, panic attacks are pretty much just attacks of anxiety. He more than likely already had some kind of anxiety issue even if it was minuscule.
Why do people who obviously don't belong here, or come here on a regular basis come when there's one of these stupid ass threads? People need to stop bumping it. And certain people need to go back to GD instead of DD.
Chronic use tends to imply > 1 year with drugs but normally it's more than 2 years. Anecdotes are all we have on the subject but empirical evidence on weed is fucking dumb anyway. Lung cancer, schizophrenia shit etc.
Holy shit you reminded me, on the 29th I have 2 full years of smoking! Yes, everyday. :haw:
Oh, and 2 years with my girlfriend on the 20th, so don't go thinking I'm just a lonely pothead.

'course not. It's cool with me if you smoke all the time. It's the healthiest drug to use all the time but I just hate it when people seem to believe it has absolutely no negatives, which it almost certainly does.
Also, my friend did not have panic attacks before he had been smoking for a while. I've read other stories from other people who've had the same issues after smoking for years. It's not a red herring.
My brother just recently was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and upon hearing that he smoked weed, OF COURSE they said oh, you know weed causes schizophrenia right?
And it's very possible your friend has panic attacks because of weed, but you're not a doctor, and it's not like you had him in an isolated area. You honestly can't think that weed causes panic attacks?
And no, nothing is perfect, people can have reactions to weed just as much as they can to ibuprofen.
I'm basically just stating I've had no negatives in the 2 years I've smoked it. I am able to run the same distances, do the same amount of pushups, pullups, situps, etc etc.

Why are you comparing an NSAID with a psychoactive drug? Firstly ibuprofen is far more dangerous and secondly it has no recreational value whatsoever.
Anyway, there's no doubt that weed increases chances of panic attacks while you're high, and if you've ever had one you'll know once you've had one it's easier to get back into a loop again. The tachycardia is the main cause for this. Just because I'm not a doctor doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion. Most doctors advocate that Marijuana should be illegal so obviously we should never smoke it.
Well you sure put a spin on that one...I was saying that there's always going to be the oddball who is going to have a negative reaction.
@ The 'you're not a doctor thing' I meant that you didn't study him, you didn't follow him around, he wasn't in any controlled environment, you know he has panic attacks, and smokes weed...Wasn't trying to insult you.

Weed only causes people with a pre-disposition to schizophrenia to catch it. (it's a huge genetic illness)
You could very well end up with it as well.
dont take to long of a break in between blazing, i think it breaks it up and the high isnt as good. but that may just be me
lol it's not a potent painkiller don't be ridiculous. Pain I have before and after is identical. You can psychologically ignore the pain but I'm doubtful it has any physical analgesic effects.
Also, it's ridiculous to say weed is good for you, it's just not bad for you. You're the sort of person that give us a bad name, arguing ridiculous left wing views that you aren't validating.
Okay, officer ASSMUNCH.

Solid evidence, right there, that marijuana is good for you.
