ye right on that panel i think
huh. that's a bit after i started reading then. w/e i still got respect for anyone who started on problem sleuth
i caught up a bit before the end of the troll act, about the time when all of those long-winded memos started happening
actually, at first, the only reason i kept lurking facepunch was to read lankist's mass effect paint adventures. once i got to the end of that, i wandered over to GD, found the v2 thread (which had just started up), and thought, "hey, i have a lot of time, why not read the thing ME paint adventures is based on?"
no regrets
I caught up when Jane transformed Jake into a Trickster and was chasing after Roxy. Very odd place to catch up at.

whats problem sleuth
I caught up with nic cage saying boner.
So yesterday.
I think I started reading PS just as the big final boss battle started to get going. I didn't start lurking in here until around the point that John got into the medium but I still don't post often.
I caught up when we saw Vriska go God Tier.

question for all those who started homestuck recently or semi-recently: how long did catching up take for you?
I caught up when Vriska was doing treasure hunts with Tavros.
I caught up when Doc Scratch took over the comic
I think I caught up right around the middle of act 5? It might have been just around Alterniabound, I really can't remember. It kind of got lost because I caught up and immediately started following updates. I think I MIGHT have found this thread just after getting caught up or maybe even before. The earliest post I can find of mine in these threads is v4 (heheh, you guys guys called it "Act 4" back then :v:) but Google is unorganized with searches for posts like that so yeah. Really wish we could have the search feature back. That's probably it anyway, I wouldn't expect to be too much further back than that, maybe V3 though.
I caught up at the beginning of Act 6.
Jesus Christ, I've been reading this comic for over two years.
I caught up at Jack having killed Mom and Dad, which was the update for like 2/16/11.
It took me like a month and a half to catch up, mostly because Hivebent was so boring and so much of it ended up being pointless.
I think I caught up somewhere around when the ministrife came out.
I must be one of the only people that thought Hivebent was boring, skipped the majority of it (including all the AlterniaBound flashes). [sp]I am, however, using HomestuckColab as a way to re-read it.[/sp] Pre-Hivebent Homestuck and Doc Scratch were easily my favorite periods in the comic, with Trickster Mode coming in close second (because, you know, tricksters).
I friggin' loved Hivebent, and learning about the troll's culture and such.
Can't remember when I started reading Problem Sleuth, think I got caught up during the six month long boss fight.

I feel like the only one that never felt like any part of Homestuck was boring

Well I used Homestuck CoLab to get up to Alterniabound, started playing that, and started reading from there. Still took me about a week and a half to catch up.
I feel like the only one that never felt like any part of Homestuck was boring
My friends gave me a ton of shit for this but I skipped the midnight crew intermission because I didn't know it would be relevant later and the kids were doing something important and I needed to know what happened
As for catching up, I caught up last week when John found the pirate ship
the theory of LE grabbing Vriska's coat and making it the cairo thingy to send back in time is retarded but endearing

Nah that actually entirely makes sense. She has a duel with LE at the end of the tunnel, actually manages to put up a decent fight, he takes his trophy. Guess we'll see.

Couple of weeks? I started reading and caught up to I think when Dirk and Roxy's names were revealed.
I only started reading this thread when the first Meenah walkaround flash came out and you people are cool so I continue to keep up with these threads.
I saw Problem Sleuth in the VG Cats sidebar too. I remember seeing people complaining about all of the new readers in the suggestion box. The suggestion box that, for some reason, still works.

Even though I knew there were suggestions as late as Act 4, the idea of it boggles my mind.
Right now, Homestuck is Hussie's Will.
Maybe he does still read it, but we don't know.
I caught up at the start of the scratch thing. I read problem sleuth beforehand and didn't get far into homestuck until a friend of mine recommended it.
I caught up roughly around the end of Act 4, right after [S] Descend.
This thread introduced me to Homestuck, though I have been lurking for most of the time.

Also, all these post-act 1 babies everywhere are DISGUSTING. Damn Hussie pandering to casuals. If you haven't read since Problem Sleuth and haven't named a troll, YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO READ AT ALL

FPMSPA also introduced me to Homestuck

hahahah holy shit my friend is in that screenshot why is that hilarious
So that's still up? What is it now just like a chatbox basically for people or what?
The reason I started reading homestuck is because I saw this gif and I thought "wow that gif is pretty awesome"

Edit: whoops pretend that file is a gif
