Say, did the apartment come with that new field of view too? If so, thats a p. sweet deal you got there. I wouldn't have paid for that fancy view.
Good to know that it's a good place for parties, I'd hate to finally have my own place to live and then not be able to have good parties there because of shitty neighbors or something. In fact if I couldn't have house parties then I may as well live with my parents forever.
http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/IA-Ames-Legacy-Towers.html well at least it gets such wonderful reviews
Wow shit, that's a nice apartment. Is it as large as the pictures make it look? Or is it just me?
Probably not. They're using an extremely wide angle lens (almost a fisheye) to try to make the place look bigger. Also OP, MAKE SURE YOU GET A ROOM WITH A REAL DOOR. I see that at least one of the rooms has some weird sliding door... Make sure you have a real door you can lock, so dudes don't walk in on you while you are fapping and/or fucking.
420 per person for a place like that!?! What a deal.
Not really unless he lives close to a big city or a really big place. It is a nice apartment though. I pay around $200 per person at my place. It's a nice two story townhome in a good neighborhood with a full kitchen and everything (including washer-dryer hookups). All utilities except electric included. You can kind of see how big each townhome is in this pic: Sure it's not super modern but I live in comfort for cheap :) Though I'm not located in california or anything like that.
Lucky bastard.
Looks pretty awesome, actually.
Nice!
Paint the walls pink and all that stuff.

You're god damned lucky.
Was the apartment furnished like that? TV, beds, and all? Is your cable/internet service covered at 420x3 a month? If so you're a bitch. I'd love to live there.
Everything is covered (ie: cable, internet) except for electricity (which includes heat), and they said on average it's about $20 per person per month. You can have the apartment furnished, but my parents already have a bunch of extra Ikea furniture anyway, so we're set as far as that.
It's in IOWA. Fucking IOWA. $420 is probably a fortune there.
"HEY LOOK AT ME. I'm so smart because I believe in the stereotype that Iowa is all corn." Average income salary isn't much different than the average state, and the cost of living is much less. So no idiot, $420 is not a fortune.
http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/IA-Ames-Legacy-Towers.html well at least it gets such wonderful reviews
Any business is bound to have negative reviews. And besides, what do you expect for an apartment pretty much right on campus that is full of college students? People just want to party and have fun. There's only 6 reviews, so of course any negative review will kill the overall rating. And we have a really long hallway from our door to the living room which blocks off just about all the noise. I know someone that had the same apartment, and told me he had no problems with noise.
Whats this catering place like? Don't live in America so I dont have a clue
That's in Ames? If so Go Hawks!!! HAHAHAHA
I just moved into my first appartment, I'm on the third day now. It's a bit weird getting used to, but it's great. 7th floor, 1 room. It's perfect. Also got a great view, kinda ruined by the camera though.
Pretty nice place for 420 a month, just make sure you have renters insurance in case anything happens, it's pretty cheap for what it covers (15-25USD a month).
Looks damn nice, congrats.
Pretty nice place for 420 a month, just make sure you have renters insurance in case anything happens, it's pretty cheap for what it covers (15-25USD a month).
What exactly does that cover? And is that usually 15-25 a person, or the lump sum?
The walls are so curvy
What exactly does that cover? And is that usually 15-25 a person, or the lump sum?
Usually it's an individual policy that covers just what you own, I have one and it wouldn't cover my roommates stuff. Per person, to answer your question, not sure if you could get a group policy.
You are the new Garry
how much are utilities? also, nice place
I love fisheye lenses. Making dwarven cottages look like mansions since 1975.
Sick pad, tiny kitchen. Where are your lady friends supposed to stay?
Sleep in the same bed like they do at my apt. Mine is a POS compared to that. I'm jealous like a mofo. Plus I'm paying twice what you are. Also, did it come with that TV?
Legacy Palace That even sounds badass. I wish I had a place like that.
My sister's apartment complex is called Aperture park. I thought it was badass first time I saw it.

And unless you think you're at significant risk, virtually all insurance is just throwing your money away. Renter's insurance is for people who live in bad neighborhoods or who are bad with money.

As for renter's insurance it covers acts of God too, but I am bad with money so you may be on to something.
Kind of reminds me of my apartment, in that it has a floor. Doesn't have as many holes in the walls though.
